The service is pretty much non-existent. We had to wait 10 min before finally flagging down someone so we could even glance at a menu. Then there was another long wait until we could get someone’s attention to place our order. The place was half empty. As we waited, we watched the staff use a dry cloth and swipe the tables once or twice, sending food flying, often in our direction, on to the nearby chairs or floor. There was broken glass on the floor, and rather than sweep it up, staff kept walking over or around it. The coffee is basically lukewarm warm so can’t really rate it. The food was tasty and the bread fresh. The end of our nightmare came when paying. We were scrunched up against the front counters, while staff basically slammed into us while rearranging display cabinets. Then the lady at the cash was having trouble figuring out what bill was ours, what we owed and if there would be change. At this point we put down what we calculated we owed and walked out. (You probably will hear the word esponjados) , do you love bread? do you just want a nice meal? If I had to compare Hornitos with an American equivalent, the Cheesecake Factory comes to mind. But it isn't a fair comparison since both rule in their own categories, there is only one Cheesecake Factory and there is only one Hornitos.
