BAD, VERY DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE. Trattoria is one of my favorites places. The food has been great, and I never experienced anything negative until yesterday. First, we ordered fried sea food as apetizer, it was very expensive and too small. We ordered our food, and there was a pork dish that was clearly half the 300gr serving size. Instead of trying to provide a reasonable and friendly way to solve the problem, the waiter took the dish away and asked what else we wanted. We were astonished, and my friend who was having the pork dish was really angry. He decided he did not want anything else. Since we decided to have coffee and food for our friend somewhere else, the waiter also decided we should go right away and poored whatever we had left in our wine botle in our glasses without any shame. Should I return??? My food was as good as always, but the service??? This place need some lessons about customer service and customer satisfaction. Maybe the good fame is not good at all, it is blinding now. Answer to the Owner on feb 23 2020: it is unfortunate that the waiter is distorting the truth. I have been your customer for over two years, visited your restaurant around ten times or more, I have over 100 reviews in maps and TripAdvisor, have over 200 photos with more than 400.000 views. I do not need to lie about what happened yesterday. I will be more than happy to tell you my version of the events in detail, if that will help...

Recommended by a friend that had done the restaurants marketing when they first opened. I wasn't sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. It is hidden away up a flight of stairs. There seem to be 2 dining areas. The food is fantastic, some of the best Italian food I've had in Bogota. It is well decorated, and despite the full height wall of Stella Artois, it sits on the right side of glamour.
It is located in an area which is quite different to the upper class world of La zona T or parque la 93, so be aware of that.
However, it was worth it for the food. Starters we had the arancini and prawns in tomato - both spectacular. Mains: The salmon was a bit salty for my taste but delicious regardless. My friends gushed over their putanesca and frutti di mare. There wasnt much in the way of vegetables, but thats a general trend in Colombia. Perhaps some broccoli or other such would add to the contorni well! A little disappointed in the dessert options, though I tend to prefer less creamy, sweet options anyway. Otherwise food was wonderful.
We also had some cocktails, which personally I wasn't blown away by. The wine selection is fair.

Read moreThis restaurant was one of our favorite restaurants. We were a group of 4 people, one of them ordered the “lomo ibérico” that in the menu clearly says 300 grams per serving. When the dish arrived, there were just 5 bites, clearly not a 300gr serving. We told the waiter It was not the right serving. He just took the dish away. A little later he came back and said that replacing the dish would take along while. He asked if our friend wanted a dish of pasta instead. That was not the answer we expected from the restaurant.
In my opinion, it would have been better to let our friend have his food, and offered a discount or some other complimentary dish in addition to what our friend ordered. That's why today I rated this place with one star. We expect more...
