This place could be so much better, the food in general was excellent, the bread was delicious and the deserts scrumptious, but how can you have a French restaurant without champagne. For this they lost a star. We wanted to celebrate our purchase of an apartment nearby and thought a French restaurant would definitely have a bottle of champagne. But no. No champagne or sparkling wine. So we settled for a bottle of Finca Las Moras Chardonnay from Argentina and sparkling water to make the first glass sparkle slightly. We ate Rollitos Veitnamitas - 2 Salmon and 1 veggie, both were delicious, and followed with Filet Mignon, which my wife loved and Blanquette De Veau which I loved. We were promptly seated at Le Sucre, but our overall experience was mediocre and borderline unpleasant. The service was disorganized, with communication issues between staff and the kitchen. Our meals arrived at different times, and there were significant errors – the beef sandwich order was forgotten, and the chicken sandwich initially came without chicken. Despite addressing the issue with the chef, the correction was poorly executed.
We ordered a french soup 19. 000 COP, beef tartare 42.0000 COP, Chicken Sandwitch 28.000 COP, a Beef Sandwitch 32.000 COP, a mandarin juice 14.0000 COP, and a bottle water at 4.000 COP.
Considering the spotty service and meal inconsistencies, the total cost of 138,000 COP seemed high. Regrettably, we won't be returning...
