I vacation in an apartment nearby and I always enjoy the 12000 Colombian pesos selection and the soup is very tasty.
Update Jan 24,2023: Unfortunately today I went and the price increased by 25 percent. The chicken portion was smaller and had a burnt flavor. My wife had a more expensive fish in coconut sauce but no coconut flavor. The previously flavorful bone soup was watered down. I finished my meal and she was still waiting for hers. The excuse was that the had a busy breakfast morning and it interfered with lunch preparation. Normally I spent 25000 pesos for 2 meals. Today 37000. I won't be coming here as often.

Chicken soup today was very good. This place has good and bad days. .hit and miss. Your...
Read moreThis place was walking distance from our hotel (Bondo) and when I say this was the best food we had in Cartagena we were so intrigued at how much we spent at other fancy restaurants and were no where near as good as this place! AUTHENTIC Colombian restaurant with delicious food! Hope in the wall place. The price you pay for the food here is reasonable ! The tree in there was super cute , the staff was very kind . They do not have AC but they do have fans on the walls to provide more air. The meal we ordered included a drink, soup and full meal for nearly $8 US . If your in Cartagena and need authentic Colombian food give this place a try ! The fancy restaurants in Getsemani are aesthetically appealing BUT we felt we were not getting authentic food, so happy we found...

I could see the food sizzling in deep cast iron pans. The fried fish (mojarra frita) with coconut rice was perfect. And the fried chicken (pollo frito) was so crisp and juicy! Generous portions, simple menu, and friendly service. Anthony Bourdain would have loved it.
