The Beach by Selina Palomino — Restaurant in Dibulla

I fancied falafel and coconut rice and Selina’s beach restaurant had it on the menu. I ordered the vegan dish “Arroz Palominero” ($35000) and it was ok. To help people with intolerance or healthy eaters make a better decision, I’m sharing my feedback as a cook and lover of nutritious healthy food.

What I liked: ✅ innovative dish combining coconut rice with falafel - sounds like a great combination ✅ taste of ginger (not common in food here) ✅ different veggies incl onion, carrot 🥕and green asparagus ✅ delicious roasted nuts and seeds ✅ nice presentation of foods ✅ nice view with view of the ocean ✅ card payment without fee

Ideas for improvement: ❎ enhance flavor of coconut rice - I could not taste the coconut rice at all as the flavor of the Asian sauce was super strong ❎ falafel were baked in palm oil and the taste was not great - unfortunately that took away the actual flavor of the falafel - I suggest baking them in vegetable oil

Comentario en español: Recientemente visité este encantador lugar y quedé gratamente sorprendido al disfrutar de una refrescante bebida mientras contemplaba la hermosa vista al mar. La atención del personal fue atenta y amable, lo que mejoró aún más mi experiencia. Sin embargo, debo mencionar que la música estaba un poco alta para mi gusto, lo que dificultó mantener conversaciones. A pesar de esto, en general, fue una experiencia agradable y definitivamente volvería a visitar este lugar en el futuro.

Comentario en inglés: I recently visited this lovely spot and was pleasantly surprised to enjoy a refreshing beverage while taking in the beautiful seaside view. The staff's attentiveness and friendliness further enhanced my experience. However, I must mention that the music was a bit too loud for my liking, which made holding conversations somewhat difficult. Despite this, overall, it was an enjoyable experience, and I would definitely visit this place again...
