There is already one review from our experience here, but it was so good that it deserves at least 2 if not many more. This was an experience for the books. We showed up at this little cafe on a blind recommendation from a tour guide who took pity on us and our poor planning abilities, but missing our chance at a coffee tour was a beautiful mistake. When we walked in, I told the (wonderful) barista that we were really hoping to learn a little bit about the coffee (btw my Spanish is terrible so it’s a miracle he understood me). He did that and so much more. We tried 5 different coffees and two infusions, learned about the whole process (roasting, the calculations behind each pour to get the perfect cup, the differences between the many steeping methods), tasted differences with hot vs cold cups, and discovered the substantial difference that a few inches of air between the beaker and the cup can make to the acidity of the coffee. He spent two hours with us, speaking in very slow Spanish, so our friend could translate. We had a truly authentic and educational experience. It’s really hard for me to believe that any tour could have been better than this. The icing on the cake? All that tasting cost us $16 USD total for 3 people. We didn’t go home empty handed either. We (obviously) bought several bags of coffee, which were about $7 USD per bag. I think I’ve raved enough, but honestly I could keep talking about how amazing this place is. Just trust me - you cannot be disappointed.

We are in love with this little coffee shop and it's wonderful staff. We showed up on the recommendation of a coffee tour organizer when the tour was overbooked and on a whim asked the barista in rather broken Spanish if he would be able to teach us a bit about coffee. He was the absolute sweetest and ended up spending 2 whole hours patiently explaining the process as I translated. He was extremely knowledgable about all their different coffee varieties, origins, processing, brewing methods, factors that affect flavor, etc etc etc. We learned SO much. We were able to taste 5 different coffees, as well as infusions of coffee flowers and shells, all prepared with the utmost care and described to us beautifully. Also the coffee is absolutely top notch. 10/10 would recommend 100 times over

Excellent Coffee Experience! Great beans selections. Clever Brewing Method. The brewer here, he’s really know what he’s doing👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻. We have tried the custom brewing method, something called “Pelador”. It’s similar to V60 but different in term of contact time and flow rate. He also applied a showering technique to decrease a turbulence using a basket looking tool. Very interesting brewing method with an impressive result. I bought one to try back home^^ We chose two type of beans, the fruity one (black label) and floral one, campionato or sth.(light orange label). The coffee beans are so fresh that he has left 1 minute for 1st pour to degas. The fragrance and aroma of both beans are so bold. I personally prefer the fruity one because of it’s sweet finish❤️

[ENGLISH] Absolutely impressive! I highly recommend this place whether you are a coffee aficianado or simply looking for a great coffee shop to have a conversation or do work. I've explored a few coffee shops in Medellin in search of both high-quality coffee and a relaxing ambiance. Desarrolladores de Cafe has it all.

The barista took such incredible care to explain not only the coffee available at the cafe but also the processes used to create them. I've never experienced a barista take such genuine care in customers.

As I sit writing this I am even watching the barista take his time to delicately separate coffee beans to extract any that may not be at the highest standards.

The cafe itself is easy to miss if you are not looking. It has a great space to work (high-speed wifi) if that is what you are looking for. I did not try the food but from the other reviews it appears the food is great as well.

All in all I hope this shop flourishes as the care they take in their products is amazing.

[ESPANOL] Absolutamente impresionante!
