I recently visited Pueblito Paisa, and the experience was underwhelming. The area is quite small, with just a public square, a church, a few shops, and restaurants-enough to explore in less than an hour.
A quaint path tucked at the bottom of a short staircase is lined with food stalls. As we reached the bottom, a friendly waiter greeted us with a warm smile and a menu. Drawn by his hospitality, we decided to dine there. I enjoyed a tasty tilapia meal for 35,000 pesos (~US$8.75) and spotted some chachalacas - local birds - curiously perched nearby. The village in the centre is quite underwhelming and the shops and food/drinks are touristastic! But then, we ARE tourists. Get a taxi to the top and go with limited expectations and enjoy a stroll down and around on a cloudy day!
There are local taxis at the base of the hill and a friendly taxi rank with cold drinks where we enjoyed a sit, then took a 13000COP (
