Nader Delicias Árabes — Restaurant in Santa Marta

We had a good vibe with the owner as soon as we got in. He gave us recommendations which we followed, ordering al-Tarik for starters, then the special mix plate and the lamb for our main course. The al-Tarik was delicious and the main courses were good, although nothing out of this world. We were surprised however when the "lamb" we ordered turned out to actually be pork on the bone. As we both were starving, we delved right in, but confirmed with our receipts that it was supposed to be lamb. We could not help feel but feel little bit canned leaving the place. Would recommend for good middle-eastern flavors, but we probably won't go back.

Edit : the owner misread the original post : on the bill, it was specified that what we had eaten was lamb (that is what we ordered). However, in our plate, it was 100% pork. I have eaten pork all my life, I know the taste and texture. So does my girlfriend. We also know what lamb tastes like. Am Arabic and I want to give my honest review about the restaurant. One thing is that I lived almost all of my life in Arabic countries so I know how the Arabic food tastes. First of all they don’t have a physical menu and if you don’t have internet you can’t get it . after they gave us internet which was weak the menu was without photos and it was only in Spanish .

Now the interesting part I ordered hummus which is normally served with Arabic bread and they gave us rotten bread it had green molds on it and when we asked her she said that it’s from the oven but it’s all lied their bread is rotten it might have been there for months or something. We order chicken shawarma which came one a plate and it was completely different from a shawarma the texture , the recipe, the taste , the way it’s cooked nothing was like a shawarma and the same thing with the bread it was rotten so I didn’t even eat it . It’s gross and it’s pricey for no reason I don’t recommend anyone to eat here because you are putting your health on the line for bad food that doesn’t even taste good . I give the restaurant -1000000 stars ⭐️ . Am not hating on anything that’s what they served us and I will report your restaurant if I got sick .

The food here is terrible. The worst middle eastern food I have tasted, ever. The falafel seemed like it was frozen, had little taste and a bad texture. Babaganoush was warm, which was strange. Vegetales salteadas was a greasy mess, and they use it in many of their dishes. The souvlaki and gyro was nothing like what a souvlaki and gyro should taste like. Just tasted like boiled chicken.
