One of the best meals I have in Costa Rica! I got blown away by ceviche: generous portion packed with flavors. There are so many varieties in seafood in there. More importantly, they don't hold back on lemon! The dish is so vibrant and when it is eaten with freshly made pressed fried plantains, I am already truly satisfied. For the main, I got "run down" Caribbean seafood soup served with jasmine rice. The only drawback of this dish is that when seafood is cooked in the food, it got shrink so the presentation is not so great. Still it is a good experience to try the food I never had before. The flavor is on the mild and mellow side. Since both dishes were so good, I ordered brownie and ice cream even if I am very full. Unfortunately, they are sold out T_T. DO NOT MISS OUT ON THIS SPOT!!! Went to Costa with my boyfriend to celebrate his birthday. Walking in to immediately feel welcome and at home at Mestizo. We got a sushi roll as well as the chicken ramen & a trout dish. I mentioned that is was my boyfriend’s birthday & they went absolutely above and beyond to make it special for him. Our cocktails were made to perfection. The food was outstanding. The entire staff was very positive and easy to communicate with. At the end of the meal i had to order the chocolate milkshake which i can honestly say was the best chocolate milkshake I’ve ever had in my life.
