Q'Empanadas — Restaurant in Catedral

The empanadas are fantastic. My wife got one queso and one beef, liked beef the best. I order La Especial and asked for a recommendation for filling and got chicken/beans/cheese with salad and sauces - this empanada was huge and crazy good.

Also ordered a patacones sándwich to try it out - while it was a work of art, I definitely liked the empanada the best.

Definitely check out this restaurant, it’ll be one of the few meals we remember from our two week trip...

Honestly, a 6/5 The Mexicana empanadas were divine! The meat was tender & delicious, and the sauces available chef's kiss were the best I have ever had to accompany empanadas (and I have eaten a lot of empanadas in my time). The staff is always super friendly and the empanadas fresh and delicious.

The big draw for me is the chile they have there — it’s julienned carrots and onion picked in vinegar with scotch bonnet pepper and other spices. It takes the empanadas (or whatever else you put it on) to a whole new level and my entire family is addicted. I now bring the empty jars for them to refill because they sell out if the ready made...
