Went with a friend for brunch on Sunday. I frequent the Escalante spot and this was my first time at the Rohrmoser one. Coffee was spectacular! Food was tasty, but my chicken came out cold, whilst my friend's dish came out piping hot! They offered to fix mine, but it was just an acute patch job at that point. I must say, though, that their homemade hot sauce is absolutely stunning. Servers seemed a little overwhelmed in general, they were def working really hard, though. Atmosphere could be a bit warmer and greener, like the other locale. Prices are comfortable for sure, which I appreciate. I will return since it is on my side of town, but hope the experience will be a bit more on point next time.

This place was recommended by my Airbnb host and it was a wonderful place to wait until check in and enjoy an iced latte and the French toast. I got the multiple sauces on the side, which was a good decision for me. The serving size was sufficient for 2 meals in my opinion. I was there at a very busy brunch time, but I felt the servers were very attentive. Everything was delicious and looked like it was presented in an elegant manner. I didn’t notice that there were multiple dogs present with diners, but that could just be the culture here in San Jose. I would definitely recommend this place and may go back before I leave to try their desserts.

The coffee and food are actually quite good! Home roasted coffee beans always bring interesting profile to the pallet! The service is actually not very attentive. Perhaps because they are very busy and it's challenging to get to every customer. We asked for water 4 times in 2 hours, and never got our water in the end. One of the server also forgot an order or coffee which it was served to us on the counter after an hour of waiting. They never told us that's our coffee until we asked the 2nd time for the coffee. If the service was better and a bit less crowded, I would consider going back.

What a wonderful place! Our group visited Franco 3 times, because it was that good. I experienced dinner, lunch and brunch and was impressed during every visit. Literally everything: from traditional food and coffee to deserts and fries - all is very delicious.

Aside from food (oh, that French toast!), I'd like to complement the friendly staff, who do their best to communicate with you, even if they don't speak perfect English (not all of them, others speak perfectly!). Regardless of language - they all take great care of you, giving all needed info and recommendations.

And last, but not least - Franco sells some local chocolate bars and coffee - cool souvenirs the you can take with you home.

100% recommend to stop by, if you are nearby.

P. S. Better to visit before 12 or after 14 -...
