Beautiful hotel, especially impressing views of the Central Valley and the surrounding mountains. Brand new everything and very “state of the art”. I do have mixed emotions and will have to review each thing because we certainly experienced highs and lows. Highs The mountain views, wow! The room, everything brand new, big, modern and beautiful. High quality amenities. The view from the room was incredible, we had a cloudless, clear day. The buffet breakfast, very high quality, delicious food, large variety. Outstanding service.

Lows There is a $ 25 + tax charge for parking. Not informed about this when making reservations. Lack of instructions of any kind in the room. A/C did not work very well, only the fan worked but it did not cool the room. We placed the complaint, had a maintenance guy come to the room and supposedly fixed the issue, however, the room did not cool all night and we could hardly sleep. Cable TV quality is barely acceptable, some channels randomly translated to Spanish and some in original English, but the language cannot be changed, so it is annoying even if you are bilingual. The only written thing in the room, regarding the change of sheets and so forth, in English only and with spelling mistakes. Hardly luxury hotel quality. Noise: we stayed on a Friday night and apparently there was a big party just about two floors below us, we could both hear the noise and feel the shaking on the glass. Upon calling the front desk to complain, first we were told the noise came from outside, which wasn't true, and then we were told that yes, there was a party in the hotel but, not to worry as the noise would stop at 10 pm. Having woken that day at 4 am, I wanted to sleep early so the noise was an...

During my recent business trip to San Jose, I had the opportunity to stay at Hilton San Jose La Sabana, and the experience was nothing short of excellent.

Situated in a central part of San Jose, close to my employer, the hotel's location was not only convenient but perfect for my business needs. The beautiful modern building, which houses this brand-new hotel, speaks volumes about the contemporary elegance you'll find within.

Upon my early arrival, the friendly staff quickly accommodated me, ensuring I had a room without delay. The room itself was immaculate, with excellent lighting and plenty of ports to charge all my devices. The comfortable bed and the well-equipped desk area, complete with a comfortable office chair, made both relaxation and work a breeze.

Daily cleaning kept my room fresh, and the lobby, located on the 18th floor, provided stunning views of San Jose and the surrounding mountains. Though the on-site bar and restaurant offered good quality food, I found the prices a tad steep, with $40 for a fish filet and a Diet Coke feeling a bit high. This led me to explore dining options outside the hotel, but it was only a minor inconvenience.

The checkout process was seamless, and the convenience of an emailed receipt made expensing through my employer effortless.

Overall, Hilton San Jose La Sabana exceeded my expectations with its prime location, exceptional service, cleanliness, and modern amenities. For anyone traveling to San Jose, whether for business or pleasure, I highly recommend this hotel as a top choice for accommodation. It contributes positively to a successful and...

The Hilton San Jose Sabana is truly a wonderful place to stay. The hotel has an outstanding location, a beautiful and modern layout, and very comfortable rooms with excellent bedding. We especially enjoyed our stadium view room—it offered the most amazing view and made our stay unforgettable.

From the moment we arrived, the check-in staff and lobby team provided excellent customer service, and the valet service was very attentive. Overall, the experience throughout the hotel facilities was fantastic. A shoutout for Nether at the lobby/check-in and bellboy/porter Israel that provided throughout our visit a outstanding customer service.

The only area that fell short for me was the restaurant service. To be clear, the food itself is very good—creative flavors, beautiful presentation, and enjoyable dishes. However, the customer service did not match the level of the rest of the hotel. On both occasions I visited (one dinner and one breakfast), the restaurant was not full, yet it was very difficult to get the attention of the waitstaff. At dinner, it took more than 25 minutes just to get the non alcoholic drinks we ordered and another 20 minutes before anyone came to take our order. At breakfast, although there seemed to be enough staff, it was still challenging to get assistance or make simple requests.

It felt unusual, especially for such an elegant hotel where every other area showed such dedication to service. While I would absolutely stay here again and recommend the hotel for its location, rooms, and overall experience, I am not sure I would return to the restaurant in my...

Hotel’s building is 5star, no doubt. While hotel’s maintenance and services has significant space for improvements. I spent here romantic weekend. Overall it was pleasant except constant small inconveniences: *when we come on breakfast there were just three tables available: two nice and big, with perfect views and one small squeezed between neighboring noisy tables. Both nice tables had “RESERVED” sign. I asked frontman if we can sit here, but received refusal as “someone booked these tables”. However, nobody ever occupied that tables until breakfast finished. Normally, there is no such thing as reservation for breakfast. Even they do that, why to keep reservations more than 15 mins if nobody comes? *executive lounge entrance was blocked by many boxes with someone’s stuff like it was flea market. *pool on 31st didn’t have big towels, only hand towels which used in gym. *locker room has just four inconvenient lockers. You must go to reception on 18th floor to have key. I wish to see how someone will use locker #4 located on floor. See pic. *the only shower broken. *pool full of horse playing kids dangerously jumping in water. From bright I can say that I enjoyed dramatic views from my upgraded corner suite on 29th; food taste, variety and quality on breakfast and in lounge was good.

This review is long overdue. I am an avid traveler and traveled to Costa Rica for vacation for the first time. I selected this hotel because of the location and reviews. The trip started a little rocky upon check-in but the General Manager, Juan Carlos, and Anna-Marie (?) at the Front Desk turned it around. Juan Carlos and his team went ABOVE and BEYOND. The stay was incredible! We loved the room. It was spacious and overlooked the stadium, the breakfast buffet (which included mimosas) had something for everyone's taste. The service throughout the hotel was exceptional! (The bell staff was. on point every day with a friendly smile and an offer of assistance/directions/recommendations.) Even the Executive Lounge was phenomenal and provided a pleasant reprieve each evening with light food and astounding selection of non-alcohol and alcohol beverages. I will definitely stay at this hotel again and recommend it to anyone traveling to San Jose. The views, service, food and overall experience certainly makes this hotel a "must stay" for your next trip to San Jose.
