Pasta Pronto Express y Catering — Restaurant in Mata Redonda

Great dining experience for our family. We were craving Italian to celebrate Thanksgiving in Costa Rica and Pasta Pronto hit the spot. We used ride share to get there so I wouldn't know about the parking situation. The atmosphere: approaching the front we were greeted by festive Italian inspired music. Although there was a dining room indoor, we chose to dine al fresca. Don't let the size of the restaurant fool you: While we dined-in I witnessed several food delivery service people for pick-up orders. The seating outdoors can comfortably seat 2 tables of 4 and 2 tables of 2. The owner was warm, inviting and well versed with the menu. We used an ipad to scan the menu. The drinks: The drinks were amazing! We ordered a strawberry smoothie, a mango margarita and a really delicious homemade te frio. My daughter commented with every sip how good it was. Appetizers: the squid was great; the owner was not satisfied with the first attempt by his new chef, but he did let us decide which was better- I have eaten at many a restaurants, never had I had the option to tasting which calamari was better. We ordered several different pasta's and all were amazing and full of flavor. Also ordered chicken wings: fried perfectly. Dessert: we tried the pineapple cheesecake and the carrot cake. I cannot say enough nice thing for this restaurant. We are on our tennis competition and we found this gem accidentally. The location is very close to Parque Metropolitano de La Sabana and the owner and staff are very nice, helpful and professional. They are so warm and welcoming. The food are amazing and they made everything fresh. Super quality! On top of that the owner is very friendly..Today was our second time to come and eat there with our friends. We ordered pasta with shrimp and mushroom, pasta salmon, spaghetti, pasta cameron scampi and mango mint drinks. All so so good! The day was good until it was turning on emergency situation! Our schedule for the tournament somehow changed and we were at the restaurant enjoying our food when suddenly we got the phone call to be at the court in 4 minutes! I ordered taxi but it would come reach us in 5 minutes or maybe more! I was approaching Marco, the owner, and asked if he could help us. We told him our situation. Without hesitation, this was lunch time and the restaurant was busy, he said let’s go with my car! We reached the place on time, thanks to him! He helped us stranger without hesitation!
