This place is a definite go to - not only because it is a nice place but especially because of the service. Many employees are gems, and go out of their way to cater to accommodate according to your needs with kindness. I would like to specifically recognize Sylvia Ramirez at the front desk. She is extremely sweet, helpful, caring- and goes out of her way to help others. She really assisted me with everything I needed as guest in the best way possible- and with a smile on her face the entire time! She really went above and beyond and I want to make sure management hears about & acknowledges her for her wonderful efforts she puts through with her service. It’s people like her and your staff that make me want to return.
I also want to recognize Francisco in the kitchen department. My family is vegetarian- and he handled each item with attention & detail and my entire family loved breakfast. (We have to make sure there is no cross contamination with non-veg, frying in oil, etc.) Please acknowledge him as well.
Another word is for Mauricio in the early morning kitchen. He is absolutely fantastic- Extremely, sweet, caring, and helpful. We were leaving early this morning and he assisted us in the kitchen with great care and attention as well. The employees here are really wonderful. Please recognize them all- they beyond deserve it.
After I wrote this note to Director of Performance & Host Sylvia Hon, she gave the most wonderful reply in support of her team. Her message conveyed the care she puts in as a manager- and this entire staff including Director Hon should be acknowledged for their efforts by upper management. Read moreI am almost afraid to write this review. I don’t want to make this place so popular that I can’t stay there any more!||I can’t say enough good things about this hotel. It started at the front desk. Valentina and Enrique are amazing. There was nothing you could ask that was inconvenient for them. We had asked for a queen bed in our booking. When we got to our room, we found that we had two twin beds. That would not work for us!||We went back to the front desk to explain our situation. They were more than happy to change our room to a queen bed. ||When we got settled in, we couldn’t figure out how to turn the lights and A/C on. Back to the front desk. Luckily it was a short walk! They explained about putting the key tag in the wall slot and it would work. ||The hotel is only a two story building with no elevator. It is not a modern hotel by anyone’s definition. The rooms are small but everything is included. Our A/C unit was a bit noisy and took a little time to get used to. They physical keys for the doors. ||The breakfast crew is outstanding! They were very friendly and helpful. The coffee and milk was prepared perfectly. The service and food were excellent. ||Even the maids who cleaned the rooms couldn’t have been nicer and more attentive. Every day the rooms were prepared and cleaned for our return. ||I think the secret to the success of this hotel is its employees. They really make a good hotel into a great hotel. We booked 3 rooms for 3 days, I was able check-in with half of the group but others half in the group didn’t make it. We requested the hotel management to refund our money the refused, I said you can charge for first day and refund 2 remaining days but they refused to do so.
One other note, The hotel is located across the Spain Embassy/consulate, They played loud music till midnight. I recommend to avoid this place don’t fall for their reviews. Update 1 Visitors, you can see the reply from the hotel staff, in our case we all have different Itineraries... We all know travel plans change and crossing borders with different nationalities with Visa requirements are hassle. We asked to accommodate our request prior to all the mishap the hotel front desk management created, Also our group didn't have any minors.
Also i just noticed after all this they charged us for extra $15 for breakfast though they said its all included in the room rent.
