Went for the second time in one day after finding this gem.Food is by far the best we had in Nosara even though it Not the fanciest food compared to everywhere else it is absolutely amazing. Kudos to the chef and whoever designed this menu we did not have one bad thing from all of the breakfast items we ordered to all of the dinner items we ordered.Well worth every penny I understand they reduced prices Recently.... prices are extremely fair for what they are offering and how fresh it is.Seriously you could eat here for breakfast lunch and dinner and we wish we would’ve discovered it day one and not day five of our trip. However I am very conflicted because it was the best food by far that we had on our trip for two meals but I felt like we got swindled when I checked our receipt. The waitress we had in the morning was amazing.., staff ,chef ,amazing ,however when we went back for dinner the waiter seemed really shady and you pay at the counter. When I went up there to pay I told the lady our bill seemedA little high turns out we were over charged by $50 and four items that we did not order. Kind of ruined our amazing experience and the woman was extremely apologetic but I just got the feeling that the waiter did it on purpose. He was shady the whole time so just watch your bill!!!And I have never not left an additional tip in Costa Rica but I did not tonight I was so upset because he didn’t even say anything after the lady took care of it.Perhaps they need to find a new waiter because everyone else...
Read moreI enjoyed the food very much, it was really good & I was happy with all the staff I was confronted with- except for the white guy with the almost bald hair.. was welcoming new customers, running around, but sadly also very rude to us, as he asked us to move over from sitting over a corner at a table to sitting in opposite on the longer side, so we would not be able to communicate without not shouting and also not able to get away from the table as we were being blocked by both table benches left and right to us. We tried to show him this was a bad idea and he then impatiently told us.. look I got a reservation for 4 people and I just want you to move over so they can sit... we mentioned our concerns of losing communication ability and freedom of getting out.. he said it again in a very unpleasant way we felt we had no other option as to agree. Of course there were no reservation signs indicated on the tables.. we understand he wants the money, but please treat the client with more respect and politeness. We read other comments on google and TripAdvisor, we suspect this guy to be the owner, which is very unfortunate, as the other staff was fine & treated us nicely. We are on vacation and don’t want to create negative feedback to inform about bad service...
Read moreI live in Guiones half the year, been coming for 3 years. Decided to check out the main strip restaurants this year so I can tell my guests where to eat. Went to Harbor Reef (the staff steal and do not give back correct change and they are too expensive with low quality food), Tibadabo (Great food and happy hour), and I have been to Beach Dogs before and the breakfast is good. But don't drink alcohol there. My house glass of house wine was $8 for a little glass. I was so appalled that I did not even tip. I go out a lot and that is twice the amount than 85% of restaurants, including Wine Bars. Stick with the little sodas and mom and pops places if you don't want to feel burned and feel like your dining at a 5 star restaurant for 2 star restaurants. Ouch! Never again will I go back. Rosie's is good. Check my reviews for all the places around Pelada, Nosara, Guiones...
