I realize people don’t come to Costa Rica for the food. And yes, I’m spoiled—I’ve lived in and travelled to places where incredible cuisine is accessible, affordable, and everywhere. So take that into account when I say: most of the meals I’ve had in Costa Rica have been a letdown. Good money, bad taste. That kind of disappointment hurts.

But this place? The opposite of that.

The food had depth, soul, and comfort. It reminded me of the kind of home-cooked meal that sticks with you—not because it was fancy, but because it was made with care and skill. The service was warm and professional. The space was elegant without being stiff. People around us were having a great time, and so were we—because the food was just that good.

This was one of our best meals in Costa Rica....

We were very impressed by the ambience and the quality of the food here--with 1 exception. We ordered the pakoras as an appetizer and they were not fully cooked--the dough was raw on the inside. Not only that, but they were cold, which didn't make sense since there was only 1 other family eating. We notified our waiter and he did bring some much warmer, fully cooked pakoras. The other items--mushroom masala, paneer kadhai, and vegetable dum biryani were all very good. We ordered "Indian spicy" and were pleasantly surprised with how spicy it turned out to be. Portion sizes were good. The cutlery and copper serving bowls were new and gleaming. The chef gave us kulfi for dessert which were also delicious. Definitely on the pricer side though, with dinner for 4 costing over...

This is such a cute spot next to where we were staying, and John Carlo was our host. He had exceptional customer service and we came here a couple of times since we love Indian food. The food is delicious and there are a variety of options for both vegetarian and non-veg. The atmosphere is lovely, the decor is fancy and aesthetically pleasing. John Carlo also gave us local recommendations when we needed help on what to do/see/eat around the area. He was always sweet and helpful. Although John Carlo was the main person who served us both times, the entire staff was kind. I will miss this place and the food, thank you so much for everything John Carlo! We loved the kulfi...
