Restaurante Bahía — Restaurant in Sámara

My wife and I vacationed in Samara for a week and visited Bahia several times. The view, atmosphere, drinks and food were all fantastic.

We had happy hour here twice, and the margaritas and mojitos were great and at 2 for 1 you can't beat it. We also had the mixed ceviche which was some of the best we've ever had.

We ate dinner here our last night and the food did not disappoint. For an appetizer we split the seafood with coconut cream that had shrimp, clams and mussels in a delicious sauce. The amount of seafood for the price was outstanding. My wife had the sautéed calamari and I had the seafood pasta, both were fantastic. This restaurant is beautifully located across from the beach and a perfect dining and Happy Hour destination. The service did not begin to equal the location however. We waited for an hour for food to be served. Our tag team servers had to be asked several times for water. While our drinks got to the table faster than the food, they too were on a delayed route to us. Our food was enjoyable upon arrival, but the server who took our order misinformed us about different sauces and costs. These costs were not listed on the menu and were higher on the check than we were told. No adjustment was made to the bill after speaking to a more senior server and it was only $3.00 so I let it go. I would give Restaurante Bahia ten stars if I could. The ambiance is next level. Casual dress. All ages. We took a taxi because parking is limited. The proprietor, Virginia, is as genuine as they come. The food was delightful. I ordered the "stack" (proper name I do not recall) - it was delicious with a seafood surprise in each level. We went during happy hour when drinks were 2 for 1 - yum! Server, Claudia, was attentive and friendly. Loved this place! Don't forget to take a stroll on the nearby beach which can be viewed from your table. If you see "pepperoni," Virginia's beloved pet, give him a scratch for us! This is more than just a restaurant.
