This was the the worst dining experience I have ever had in my life let alone Costa Rica. The service was terrible, firstly our waitress seemed to hate her job and had a very impatient attitude when ordering and was completely inattentive to our table. I ordered the mahi mahi burger and when they served it I cut it in half and it was raw and cold in the middle which was then re fired and placed back in the original bun and sides, not a new piece of fish entirely. My girlfriend got the calamari which was as chewy as rubber and therefore violently over cooked, and in addition they changed the price of the dish on only one menu which was hidden behind their desk adding 1000 c when we came to pay the final bill which was a cherry on top for this entire experience. This place has attractive advertising but that is about it, solely just to lure in tourists. If you are smart and read reviews before eating somewhere I hope you consider this and for your safety run in the opposite direction because this place...

Read moreWe had dinner at Mr. Pelicano. The blonde waitress was running around all evening, and for her alone, I’d give two stars. We ordered vegetarian fettuccine (which was unfortunately mediocre), a tuna burger, and a grill platter for two. When we placed our order (and were sitting across from the grill), I saw the young “chef” throw a pile of coals onto the grill, nearly extinguishing it. This caused our food to take well over an hour. We were the last table to get anything. He put the fish on the grill, and nothing happened. It took forever. In the end, the grill platter was good, but the tuna steak was cold. As a consolation, the waitress gave us two glasses of white wine, which was a nice gesture—though she wasn’t to blame. I would have expected the manager to come to our table and say, “Hey, sorry, our chef just put out the grill, and you’ll have to wait,” but that...
