Filippo Pizza Bar — Restaurant in San Rafael

It could be a nice restaurant experience when you have guests but I think there are dishes to order and those to skip.

I'm actually giving it three stars for what it promised to be. Someone put together an amazing menu at one time but execution left a lot to be desired.

I LOVE carpaccio and order it at every chance. So we ordered the carpaccio and the carpaccio salad. The regular carpaccio was very plain without any olive oil or lemon or any seasoning. The arugula was fresh but again, would have been tastier with some seasoning. The carpaccio salad was a better experience with a dressed salad on top of the carpaccio. It seemed to be the same serving size, for whats thats worth. Neither were anything special.

My friend ordered the salmon nicoise salad. The salad was well seasoned, however the salmon was completely overcooked. Another friend had the lasagna which was fine but not memorable.

Service was adequate but nothing more. Our waiter seemed to tolerate our presence but didn't engage. It could have been his discomfort with English and our limited Spanish that part of...

My girlfriend and I ordered a pizza to share. We saw online they had 2 sizes of pizzas costing about 4500 and 9000 colones. We figured we would be able to share the larger pizza. When the pizza arrived it was no bigger than a personal pizza. I couldn’t imagine having a smaller option than that one, maybe one for a little kids menu. The pizza was also about half crust which had no flavor, but the cheese and sauce were good.
