Wild Side Bistro — Restaurant in Santa Ana

The restaurant is new to this location. It is small, but nice. There are no printed menus. You scan the QR code to see it. I chose the chicken Alfredo, a side of plantanos Maduro and one Stella beer. The Alfredo sauce had a strange taste to it and there was not much of it. The bread would have been good as garlic bread, but it had nothing on it. The plantanos was not sweet and there was very little for a side order. The beer was bottled and good. I thought the service was good and friendly, until I left and looked at my receipt. The beer was supposed to be 3000 colones. He charged me 2728 and then doubled it!! There is no language barrier when it comes to numbers. He just outright scammed me. SMH. We were sad to see one of our favorite spots, The Breakfast Club in Ecoplaza, close its doors. But good news travels fast — the same owners have opened a new restaurant in City Place, Santa Ana, called Wild Side Bistro and it's been open for two weeks! The vibe feels familiar, the menu still features many of our favorite scrumptious dishes, and the prices are reasonable — most breakfast options are just 5,500 colones. Wild Side Bistro tiene un menú sencillo que busca complacer a todos, desde opciones típicas hasta desayunos clásicos. Pero ojo: las porciones son pequeñas. El traditional tico no me convenció, el huevo sin sal y todo el plato demasiado seco. A mi novio le gustaron los huevos rancheros, pero para mí se veían aguados.

El servicio sí fue atento y el lugar es precioso, pero sinceramente no está en mi lista de prioridades. Tal vez vuelva a darles otra oportunidad por los buenos reviews que he visto… pero por ahora, no...
