Nestled right in the center of town, The Cha Cafe is a delightful gem for anyone seeking a warm atmosphere and great coffee. As soon as you walk in, the inviting aroma of freshly brewed coffee envelops you, complemented by the soft chatter of patrons and the maybe a gentle nuzzle of a furry friend. The menu offers a variety of coffee options, from classic espresso to unique seasonal blends. I tried their signature latte, which was perfectly balanced—rich and creamy without being overly sweet. They also have an impressive selection of coffee and a few freshly squeezed juices for non-coffee drinkers. The food menu is equally appealing, featuring an array of pastries, sandwiches, and breakfast items. I sampled the breakfast burrito which made for a great satisfying light meal. The ambiance is cozy, with comfortable seating and plenty of natural light filtering through large windows. It’s an ideal spot for both solo work sessions and casual catch-ups with friends. The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring that my experience was enjoyable from start to finish. Overall, The Cha Cafe is a must-visit for coffee lovers and anyone looking to relax in a charming environment. I can’t wait to return and try more from their...
Read moreI basically live here! The staff is my family and the vibe is always great. The food is so good and the coffee is even better. If there is anything wrong with my order it is no big deal to let them know, they will remake anything with smiles on their faces.
I see a poor review from USAJade below and it's unfortunate that they didn't use their words at the time of their order! Bacon can be cooked at different levels and it is pretty simple to just ask for crispy bacon to avoid this from the beginning! No one can read minds as much as we all would love to have that super power! Sounds like they wanted to have the last word and tell people how to do their jobs instead of just being happy that the staff had no problem with re-cooking the bacon more to their liking. No one likes a Karen.
The price they posted is not accurate per person since they obviously got meals for at least 3 people. There is actually a bagel/coffee combo for $8 they obviously missed on the menu which is a great deal. Would have saved them some of the money they were so...
Read moreIf I could give this place 10 stars, I would!! First off, the physical space/atmosphere is light, bright, welcoming and inviting. They are dog-friendly, which I’m crazy about, and our group was greeted with a warm welcome.
Valeria was our server (and I believe she’s also the pastry chef / part of the ownership), and she was INCREDIBLE with her patience, explanations, menu recommendations… and even gave us suggestions of where to go for other things in Tamarindo.
The coffee was out of this world - highly suggest getting the maple latte! The avocado toast was amazing, the plantains spot on, and we got a piece of banana bread to go, which is evidently the most popular baked good! The prices are also very affordable, especially considering everything is homemade and/or organic!
This is a must-visit spot in Tamarindo, and we’ll definitely be coming here MANY times...
