YES! YES! YES!!!! I JUST STRUCK GOLD!!!!!! I've been living in Zagreb for years now and have my handful of cafes I go to - I choose my cafes based on 2 facts: a.) quality of coffee b.) quality of customer service
I was walking through the neighborhood and got tired and saw this cute spot next to the đamija and thought why not, I never come to this neighborhood I might as well enjoy my visit. BAM. as soon as I sat down I was greeted by an exceptional young waiter named Lovro who greeted me with a terrific smile and warm welcome (as you know, in Zagreb this is RARE.) I held my breath until I received my cappuccino - as soon as I took the first sip I grabbed my phone to write a review. Fantastic quality beans with creamy, chocolatey flavours(that I asked for) and a carefully crafted drink. Fantastic customer service, fantastic coffee, and fantastic baristas. I can't believe I haven't heard of this place before. Will definitely be my new...

That being said, I was one of these people. I was mad AF the first time a barista served me a fruity coffee :-) and swore to never return to that particular coffee shop. And even though these phases usually vary, I never fully returned to the classical 'italian' dark roast. Except for if there was nothing else. SOOO
The fruity coffe was world-class. And that's coming from a former Viennese barista. The place is very nice. Yes there are bigger, nicer spots BUT The staff made up for it. This might be my bias because I myself am a Croat and I usually get along greatly with our waiters; but that might be the lingo we tend to have.
What else?? Oh yes, go pay a visit to this place, if you're not a whiner, but a coffee lover.
The bonus is: This place reflects how that part of...
Read moreThe coffee was good, a little acidic but I understand that it is supposed to be like that. People who complain about it obviously don’t know how to add sugar. The prices were not ideal, it is quite expensive but it is situated in the centre, so it makes sense. However, my biggest complaint was the fact that we felt rushed. I understand that the cafe isn’t big, but it is the Croatian custom that everybody orders one or two things and then stays there for hours. I don’t believe there are “rush hours” in Croatia. We felt pressured to order something else just because we stayed there longer than an hour and a half. The waiter was welcoming, but after a while we got the feeling that we had to order something else or leave, which is something that I rarely feel in other cafes. The inside is nice, the WC is excellent and I liked the first hour spent there, but will not...
