Auro Cocktail bar — Restaurant in Općina Bol

My friend and I came here two days in a row, and had both positive and negative experiences both times.

The first day we had a really nice waiter and when we paid he asked if we wanted to tip and we said yes. However, I forgot my towel at the seat in the evening and called to see if they had it and the person who answered started screaming at me. It was weird and mean.

The second day, the waiter we had was unfriendly and rude, a sentiment shared by us and the people at the table in front of us. When he came around for us to pay, he did not bring the check, only the credit card machine. I paid and then he gave me the receipt, which showed he had already added a 10% tip. He did not ask if we wished to provide a tip. I questioned him about this charge and he said it was for service. I told him it was voluntary whether to give a tip and that the day before we were given the option of whether we wanted to tip or not. He had the people in front of us close out at the same time and they demanded to see their bill before paying (which I should have done) and he gave them a hard time but ultimately did. I also requested to see the original bill and there was the tip he had already added. I told him he needs to ask before adding a tip as it is voluntary and we said the problem was not the tip amount (~3$), but that it’s he added it without asking. He awkwardly gave us back the tip. Beach ⛱️ Bar super, ale uwaźajcie na kolesi obsługujących niebieski i białe parasole, jest ich dwóch, dobrze mówią po angielsku ale jeden z nich obsługujący białe parasole oszukuje ludzi płacących gotówką za łóżka plażowe i parasole. On nie daje rachunków za opłatę gotówką i po 15/20 minutach przychodzi i żąda ponownie opłaty 39 euro. Wzywa kierownika, który mówi, że jego pracownik jest w 100% uczciwy i żąda pieniędzy albo każe się wynosić. Byłem z moją kobietą, która była całą sytuacją zdenerwowana, a ten debil jeszcze powiedział, że "ja znam taki uśmiech, ona oszukuje i ķlamie". Po 10 minutach awantury, jak założyłem okulary i czapeczkę przeciw słoneczną, kolesia od biletów olśniło, przypomniał sobie mój wygład i zaczęli we dwóch przepraszać, że nas obrazili i że zrobili nam obciach na całą plaże, bo oczywiście wszyscy się gapili na nas że "chciałem oszukać na 39 euro". Kazałem im odsać kasę, oddali, prosili żebyśmy zostali - nie zostalismy. Nie ufajcie ludziom, którzy biorą od Was gotówkę i nie dają potwierdzenia zapłaty. NIE POLECAM TEGO MIEJSCA NA LEŻENIE NA PLAŻY - UWAGA NA BIAŁE I NIEBIESKIE PARASOLE.

Beach Bar is great, but be careful with the guys handling the blue and white umbrellas. There are two of them, they speak good English, but one of them, who handles the white umbrellas, scams people paying cash for beach sunbeds. He doesn't give receipts for cash payments and after 15/20 minutes he comes back and demands the payment of 39 euros again. He calls the manager, who claims that his employee is 100% honest and demands the money or tells you to leave now. I was with my girlfriend, who was upset by the whole situation, and this jerk even said, "I know that smile, she's cheating and lying." After 10 minutes of arguing, when I put on my glasses and sun hat, the ticket guy suddenly remembered my appearance and both of them started apologizing for insulting us and causing a scene on the whole beach, because of course, everyone was staring at us thinking "I tried to cheat for 39 euros." I told them to give the money back, they did, and they asked us to stay - we didn't. Don't trust people who take your cash and don't give a receipt.
