I don't fully love the hotel exacly. Some staff acts pretty sloppy and cold but others are engaged and nice. The breakfast is very nice, many different choices of food and drinks, both healthy and unhealthy. The sea is pretty. Pool is ok. What I do not like is firstly the "towel on the pool chair" - situation. In the instructions it said it is fully not okay to place the towel on the pool chair when you're not there but the majority of pools there are empty with towels people have placed there to "use" later. Later, when we asked staff if there were any more chairs he recommended that we should go up early and place our towels there in advance even though the instructions said it was "forbidden". I would normally not have a problem with this since it's not a big deal and I don't really care but there were no seats avaliable at all and we had to wait for an hour. There were some avaliable in a corner but the staff said we couldn't have them. The seats with placed towels were empty for over an hour without anyone getting there. Just a small thing really but it would be nice with more seats by the pool since there is place for it. Another, bigger problem is the ant situations. In our room there is plenty of ants and I have a phobia of ants which is quite a problem 😂 they're everywhere in the bathroom. The fridge is not working well and is not very cold. The room isn't so dirty but it is a bit too old-fashioned. Another problem was the TV signal. (Pic included) The image just lagged all the time and for a long period of time. When we were watching football VM it just glitched and we could no longer watch.

To be honest I was between 4 and 5 star rating but ended up with 5 because everything that's asked from hotel employees was finished in a very short period. Anyhow let's start: Good things: - they upgraded our room to the balcony room - clean, renovated room, with window between bathroom and bedroom, with air conditioning, hairdryer, deposit box, - beach towels, even after checkout (u need to ask ofc but at least to us, they provided us this possibility) - after checkout (if u want to stay longer that day) there is a dedicated room where u can take a shower, dress up and prepare for ur trip (again ask at reception) - AMAZING food, every night some other sea fish (salmon, shark, tuno, and some Croatian fishes), but really amazing prepared - our fridge didn't worked, and they fixed it in one hour - great location, 10-15 minutes to the most famous and probably most pictured Croatian beach "Zlatni rat" Not so good things: - Our room (b212) is really really noisy (u have in video noise recorded in the morning (around 8 am). Tbh I am not sure that I've ever been in noiser room than this one, u can hear everyone in hallway. (Because of this I was thinking to give 4) - there is no enough hangers for wet swimwear, and other sea stuff. Please change team Tip: - Parking (8e per day) and sun beds (beach under this hotel costs 10eur per sun bed) are not included in price (yes it's a Croatian government rule). Btw just as info, if u want to have 2 sun beds and umbrella at Golden Horn Beach then thats 36eur per day

Overall we had an amazing experience in this hotel! The room was really nice and spacious. During our week in Croatia we literally stayed in a 4-star hotel with less quality and space (and much more expensive) than this 3-star one. We booked the room with half board and both the dinner and breakfast had a lot of variety and quality ingredientes for the price. We were overall impressed with the room and the food, but also with the service. The workers were really nice - specially the ones in reception - and even upgraded us to a room with a balcony, that had a nice view to the pool and sea. We had a small incident during the dinner buffet, because we asked the servers the contents of one of the dishes and they said it didn't have meat and then we ended up finding meat inside, but even this was solved smoothly by the person in charge. We regretted not staying more and will definitely come back! The hotel is a 15 min walk to the port of Bol and 7 min walk to the famous zaltini rad, so the location is also great. I recommend it 😄

Room|The room was clean and the bedding very comfortable. However, some basic amenities were missing , there were no complimentary water bottles (though tap water is potable) and no iron facilities available. Our “sea view” was more of a partial sea view as pine trees blocked much of it. One issue for light sleepers is that the illuminated light switches remain on at night, and if you cut the electricity to darken the room, the air conditioning stops working. Nonetheless the biggest inconvenience was the presence of ants on the terrace.||Amenities|The pool area is nice, with plenty of seating, though perhaps too many loungers for my taste, which can make the area feel crowded. The pool bar and restaurant are convenient, and I would like to highlight the gentleman handling the towel service , he was very polite and attentive. Unfortunately, ants were also an issue around the pool area.||Restaurant|The restaurant offers a very good selection at both breakfast and dinner, with options for all tastes, ranging from pizza to freshly grilled fish. Breakfast service could benefit from a second coffee machine to reduce queuing during peak hours. Special mention to our waitress, who was fantastic , friendly, attentive, and professional, and she really made our dining experience enjoyable.||Location|The hotel is conveniently located, just a 10-minute walk from the city. There is a lovely walking path directly in front of the property, and plenty of water activities and beaches nearby.||Overall|This was a good stay, but I feel three stars is fair mainly due to the ant problem and the poor welcome we received upon arrival from the receptionist, which left a negative first impression. With small improvements in guest service and better pest control, this hotel has the potential to provide an even...

The Hotel Borak is situated on a beautiful seaside promenade covered with groves of pine trees, a ten-minute walk from famous Zlatny Rat beach. But despite its lovely setting we found the hotel to be seriously lacking in basic hospitality, and we would not recommend it.||We pulled up to the hotel in the middle of a torrential rain storm, wet and exhausted. There was no one there to greet us, no indication of what we should do with our rental car, and no offer of help with our luggage. The front desk staff were surly and unwelcoming. There were no bottles of water in the room, and when I asked for an iron I was told there were none. When my partner went to secure a beach towel the next day, at the front desk, he got yelled at for not understanding the arcane rules by which towels were alloted. (Just one towel a day per guest, and only obtainable at certain very specific hours.) ||Rooms were clean and modern but on the very small side, with a bizarre lighting system that made it impossible to light the main part of the room without also lighting the entrance hallway. ||The hotel did have an excellent dining room, and we really enjoyed our buffet dinners. But this did not make up for the sour, parsimonious attitude that seemed to pervade the whole place. And despite its four stars, the hotel had few additional amenities.||We thought this might all be just par for the course with this particular hotel chain. But in fact we stayed at the Bluesun Maestral Hotel in Brela later in our trip, and the experience could not have been more opposite. It's amazing the difference that a simple...
