Summary Would we come back? Probably not
It is a Full board plus hotel. This refers to drinks are only included at the 3 meal times. It means that you cannot get a machine coffee outside of breakfast time (7-10).You also can't even get any water from the drinks machine except at food times. Because there are large time gaps when no free drinks are available the bar drinks are really expensive. Walk to one of many beaches. Drinks are better, cheaper with beautiful views. Security There is no gate or door to distinguish the hotel grounds from the promenade, some apartments and the hotel. Anyone can just walk all over the grounds. There is no gate. You can rent a local room and come in daily to swim in the pool and eat in the restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Kids club security Kids aren't signed in or out. That's just wrong. Lifeguards There isn't any. There is also no one to stop kids from climbing on the outside of the bridge and leaping into the pool. Sunbeds No one manages guests leaving their towels on the sunbeds all day. So there are often no sunbeds. Room Block 2 Nice, smart, clean and new but compact room. It is lovely. It's not too far from the restaurant but far away enough to be quiet. TV is geared towards a Croatian / German audience. Restaurant Like most of these buffets, the food is pretty average. There are some occasional gems but largely poor. The grilled Calamari, an island specialty was particularly awful. Staff were really good The Gym A forgotten corner in the basement. No water or towels or AC or working TV. Very little equipment and some of it doesn't work. Animation and activity team Hardly saw them. There was no prominent board listing the day's events. No staff coming around to advertise what's going on. I spoke to the team twice about an event on a specific day and no one showed up to take the class. The website implies that they have Paddleboards available and Tennis courts. The boards are only available from a private company on the beach at a cost, the Tennis courts are in a sister hotel at 15 euros an hour. Kids club Pretty good and the staff have really looked after and entertained my daughter. The website doesn't mention they have one. The kids disco...
Read moreWe’ve been staying at the hotel for a week now. At first, I thought everything was fine — it’s a simple, clean, well-maintained hotel. Yes, the food isn’t very diverse and doesn’t match the advertised 4-star rating, nor does the entertainment. But now there’s another issue: our room isn’t even cleaned every day.
They don’t manage to clean it before 2 PM, and after that, our child takes a nap for an hour. Even though I’ve asked for cleaning after 3 PM and was promised someone would come, nobody has shown up. Previously, cleaning happened every other day, and only after I requested it. Now it’s been two days without any cleaning at all. Used towels are left on the floor every morning, hoping someone will come.
I also informed the reception today that the water in our shower isn’t draining — they promised to fix it, but so far, no one has come.
As for the food — while it tastes good, I don’t understand how a 4.5-star hotel can serve only two types of jam at breakfast, and both in single-use plastic containers. The chocolate spread is poor quality, the toppings are served from basic bottles, and there are only two kinds. For lunch and dinner, there are only 2–3 main dish options, seafood is not served daily, and for pasta, the only choices are tomato sauce or tomato with olives.
The porridge is served cold, and the pancakes are made in advance and brought out cold from the fridge. Boiling water for tea or coffee is only available at breakfast — after that, the machines are turned off, and there’s no kettle in the rooms. I honestly don’t think that’s acceptable for a 4-star hotel.
I’m honestly glad we didn’t spend extra money on a larger room — that would’ve been even more disappointing.
Other than that, the location is great, the rooms are new, the grounds are clean, and the...
Read moreGiven double room instead of twin, they refused to change it, staff parties kept us awake, shouted at by reception staff, room next to loud pool bar when we asked for quiet. They messed up our booking in every possible way. Went with my friend and booked a twin room. Got there at 2am after an awful journey and had a very long wait for check in, took us ages to find the room with poor directions. Only to find a double bed in our room, not twin beds! They told us they wouldn't move us to a twin room for another 3 nights! They had closed one of their 3 hotels on site, to save themselves costs on staff etc, and so our hotel was full of people who hadn't booked there! They had a third hotel on site, but wouldn't give us a room there. Despite us having printed, written booking for a twin room. We told our rep about it and she took us to reception to see if she could help. The receptionist had a real nasty go at me as I stood next to the rep. She already told me no and how dare I ask again, she was aggressive and rude and really upset me.
I had also asked for a quiet room and they put us next to the pool and pool bar. We were shattered the next night and there was a party going on in the pool bar until after 1am. I tried calling reception, got no answer and went round to ask them to check on the party. It turned out it was the hotel staff partying in the pool bar, I saw them sneaking out as I walked back to the room.
Our room was so awful, I paid for a room at another hotel for 2 nights until they could move us. The holiday cost me a fortune. The location is beautiful, but this hotel is a shambles.
Food wasn't great, typical cheap all-Inc fare. Cheap wine and spirits. Rooms are pretty tired and pool area tacky. Would never go back and would...
