We went back twice to this place because it's the whole package: Service is super friendly and happy, the location is modern, hip and caters to a younger clientele and the drinks are absolutely amazing (and huge!). Prices are fair and we spent a few wonderful hours at Al Pirata and would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice drink in Havana Old Town. We tried a few places and nowhere did we get such good value for our money. A special shoutout to our waitress (with a rose tattooed on her right wrist), she was amazing. Did not try the food but heard people on other tables gushing, also looked super tasty. Big plus: Vegetarian and vegan options available, which is hard to come across in Cuba.

Honestly , this is the bigest scam I ever had in my Life. The location is good, food was okay for european prices, but for a Mojito 14 Dollar it is too much, when is written on the sign for 3,50 Dollar. Sorry, we just said Mojito with Mango, cause the Lady said she has a special Mojito. We never though it would be 4x higher price. Sorry, in my life I paid even 20 Dollar for one Mojito, but the location was Luxery Bars in London or Paris and not in Havana. Other customers had as well the same Problem, we are not the only one. So good luck for you location, cause our local friends know about your scam and they don't recomend you.

The only reason I’m giving this restaurant/bar 3 stars is because the servers tried to scam me into purchasing the highest price item on the menu which was fillet mignon. They said they were out of all other items on the menu which sounded strange to me. But when I told them I was going elsewhere suddenly all menu items were available and I ordered the pineapple chicken which was delicious and prepared well. They had outside entertainment a band and the atmosphere was good. But please don’t try to scam customers into ordering high priced items it is not good business practice.

On August 6, 2025, my girlfriend and I went to this bar, and we were shocked by the service—completely unacceptable. We ordered two beers, and they brought us two cans. But the outrageous thing was that both of the glasses they brought were completely dirty! My girlfriend's were even more so! Honestly, I can't explain this fact to this day. They tried to explain it with the label, which supposedly was due to glue, but that, again, doesn't hold water. They had to clean them! I've been exploring the world, and I've seen this for the first time in my life! Also, the glasses were bottles cut in half. I know this is art, okay, but I don't think it's appropriate for glasses in a bar. A customer could have cut themselves. When we asked to change our glasses, they brought us two plastic ones, also dirty, but smaller. I politely asked to speak to the manager in person, but no one came. We...

BEWARE!!!! CHECK YOUR BILL AND ALWAYS ASK FOR PRICE UPFRONT!

They charged me 6000 CUP or $20 for a “special” mojito. I just arrived in Havana, and went to this place for lunch. I wasn’t familiar yet with the currency exchange. My bill totaled to over 10,000 CUP or $30 for a mojito and an entree. I didn’t catch it until I got back to me Airbnb and my host told me that it was too much since mojito normally cost $3 or 900 CUP. By then it was too late for me. Check your bill!! Mojito is great but it comes at a hefty price. Check other reviews, this happened often at this restaurant. You are hurting your own business by scamming...
