Wir waren am 16.05.2025 da. Wir waren spontan die Straßen abgefahren, weil ich dachte wir könnten ja mal schauen was außerhalb so geht, wir waren an den umliegenden Gaststätten gehalten und sind ein wenig herumgelaufen und waren gar nicht angetan davon. Dann sahen wir einen liebevoll rustikalen Garten an dem wir fast vorbeigelaufen wären. Wir sind es, wie ihr seht, nicht! Zu beginn es ist am besten zu reservieren wir hatten Glück und durften uns eine Stunde zu früh und unangemeldet setzen. Sie bereiten nämlich alles nur für Reservierungen vor. Wie andere schon beschrieben hatten, es war eigentlich das beste essen was wir hier hatten. Das Essen: Wir hatten ein Cranberry Rosmarien Brot, dazu Butter, Oliven und Auberginenpaste. Phänomenal! Als Vorspeise: Thai minced chicken: angerichtet in einem Eisbergsalatkopf. Der Koch hat es sauber abgeschmeckt mit Koriander das eine regelrechte frische entstand. Sauber! Homemade roast red pepper & tomato soup: Eine solide Tomatensuppe mit einem konstanten leicht pfefferigen nachgeschmack. Richtig lecker! Als Hauptgang: Aged ribeye or sirloin steak red wine & mushroom and marrowbone: Zum Fleisch einen Markknochen zu reichen, phänomenal. Das Fleisch war recht fettig, nicht jedermanns Art, aber da steckt man auch nicht. Top zubereitet, auf den Punkt medium rare, leckeren Kartoffelbrei und die Pilzsoße hat super gepasst. Gut gemacht! loin of Cod white wine, tomato, saffron & parsley cream sauce. Der Fisch war außen super kross und innen schön saftig geblieben. Die Petersiliencreme war Super! Ein Hauch zu viel Koriander aber das hat das Gericht nicht im Ansatz gemindert. Super Essen! Als Nachtisch gab es einen New York baked Cheesecake mit einer Limoncello Soße. Einfach nur richtig toll und lecker. Wenn wir jemals wiederkehren, in jedem Fall noch einmal Tweedies. Our compliments to you guys!!‘ Well Done 😉

Sehr gutes individuell geführtes Restaurant. Täglich wechselnde Speisekarte mit ausgefallenen Gerichten. Bedienung durch die Inhaberin. Die Gerichte zeichnen sich durch eine super Qualität aus (Gemüse knackig, Fleisch auf den Punkt zubereitet), die Portionen sind genau richtig: nicht zuviel und nicht zu wenig. ACHTUNG: Da die Speisen frisch zubereitet werden, mit am gleichen Tag gekauften Zutaten, sollte bis Mittags angerufen werden, damit die Inhaber wissen, wieviel Personen kommen. An der Wand hängt ein Bild mit mehreren Original Speisekarten von der Britannia. Einige dieser Menüs werden in unregelmäßigen Zeiträumen nachgekocht. Ebenfalls in unregelmäßigen Zeiträumen gibt es Themenabende mit dem passenden Gerichten dazu. Wir waren heute das dritte Mal innerhalb von 7 Tagen dort. Es kamen „angebliche“ Stammgäste ca. 2 Minuten nach uns. Diese wurden sofort bedient, während erst nach deutlichen 10 Minuten und mehreren „genervten“ Blicken unsererseits die Bedienung zu uns kam. Auf unsere Frage, warum wir erst jetzt bedient werden, sagte die Bedienung, dass sie diese Frage nicht verstehen würde, da Sie ja gekommen wäre um und zu bedienen. Inzwischen gesellte sich auch die Inhaberin zur Unterstützung der Bedienung dazu und erklärte uns, dass die anderen Gäste Stammgäste wären, die einen speziellen Wein trinken wollten, aber es stehe uns natürlich frei zu gehen!?! Wir dachten, wir hören nicht richtig! ..... und sind dann gegangen. Fazit: Schade, aber dort werden anscheinend Engländer bevorzugt bedient (ein Zwei-Klassen Restaurant?) und die nette Inhaberin entpuppte sich leider als nicht so nett. Die Angestellte Bedienung ist leider ziemlich arrogant. Bewertung: Ambiente: 7 BERO Speisen: 9 BERO Bedienung: 0 BERO Preis/Leistung: 8,5 (O=schlecht; 10 BERO=sehr gut)

This place is a place for people who really love good food! The menu changes every day and everything is homemade and fresh. I was dining alone so I really focused on the food - and my goodness it was incredible. I had the haloumi watermelon and mint salad, the steak with blue cheese and mushroom sauce and the sticky toffee pudding. Everything was truly devine and the owners were lovely. Such a peaceful setting. Sometimes its tricky to nail and solo diner experience but Tweedie's hit it on the head. Would be amazing for a date night or really any occasion. The food is special but everything is casual and welcoming enough that you feel comfortable and welcome. 10/10 would...

Reserve a day before (in Summer, perhaps 3 days before) and prepare cash (this is a cash-only restaurant). Sit in the garden and enjoy freshly-made, daily-changing menu cooked by the Chef, Craig Tweedie. Enjoy Hillary’s amazing homemade breads. Their fantastic food works well with lovely Cyprus wine.
