Gary's bar and grill — Restaurant in Ayia Napa

Gary's Bar & Grill is a traditional English greasy spoon/pub grub café located in the heart of Ayia Napa.

If you're looking for some hearty British grub or a full English breakfast to cure your hangover, Gary's is the place to go.

We visited Gary's for breakfast and, of course, went for the full English breakfast and I have to say, we we're thoroughly impressed. The ingredients were to a high standard and were the best we had found for a fry up in Ayia Napa and exactly to British standards of quality, perfectly cooked too. It was just like going to your local café at home in the UK. Also, full English breakfasts are served all day so it's perfect for late comers or people still suffering from the night before.

The staff were friendly and the place was full of atmosphere, even at 10:30am in the morning. The toilets are located upstairs (a winding tight staircase) so if you have mobility issues, this could be a slight problem – but I'm sure the restaurant have an alternative solution for you if this is the case (perhaps in the shop next door etc), so don't let it put you off.

The prices were cheap and we paid around EUR 20 for 2 full English breakfasts and drinks (orange juice, water, 2 coffees) and a tip.

Overall it was a great experience from start to finish and we would 100% visit again!

My review is a little late. I was there end of May. Whatever I write will definitely be underrated for this place. I was so overwhelmed when I went there I wasn’t sure what was better the owners, waiters and staff or the food! If there were higher than 5 stars I would give them. I was alone and welcomed to a large table. I asked about food that was not on the menu and despite how busy the place was the chef/owner made it especially for me. The place is a happy place and the food I guess is also Happy Food :) I dont think the pictures I took would give the whole idea but I highly recommend this place and I am definitely returning soon!

Ps. The fried halloumi is a MUST!! Ask for it with garlic dipping yogurt (not on the menu but...

Came here for an English breakfast a few times over our week long stay in Aiya Napa. The breakfast was delicious, cooked very nicely and served very quickly. They served back bacon which is nice to find abroad. Also, the standard breakfast comes with mushrooms which is rare. They serve a nice cup of tea too. The staff here were very friendly and chatty, and we really enjoyed the service here just as much as the meal.
