De Medici Authentic Italian Restaurant — Restaurant in Ayia Napa

Okay, so from the beginning all of the waiters was very upset and they were looking bored. Starters were okay, big and tasty portions, but my main... eh, I asked for no tomatoes in my calzone which obviously was very burned on the top and obviously had tomatoes inside (what’s very surprising, they were just on the left side of calzone). I was okay with tomato sauce coz it’s tasty, but pieces of tomatoes are just ugly for me. Anyways, right side of calzone had a lot of veggies inside, but the left side had just this tomatoes, one piece of onion and a little bit of cheese. My friend, she ordered margarita pizza - that was okay (size around 15”), she couldn’t eat this all so we asked one of the waitress for the bill and if it’s possible to pack this pizza to the box. When he’s been cleaning out table, he just dropped one of the knifes into that pizza, he took it with his hands next to us touching almost all pizza. After that, when he took everything and when he’s been coming back, he just grabbed the box with pizza like a book and he’s been shaking this a lot. If you’re hungry, definitely drop by this nice restaurant! My boyfriend and I chose to eat here after visiting Ayia Napa for a day, and oh my god it felt like we rolled out of there😂 We ordered an appetizer that’s meant for two people (or so the menu say), and as you see in the first picture, it was SO MUCH FOOD. We are no small eaters, we have a good appetite, and the mix of meats and cheeses were amazing. We both loved it, but to be able to have room for the dinner we had to cut ourselves off😂 I would say if you want this appetizer, be 3 people to share it to be able to finish it. The pizzas were really good. I ordered mine with extra cheese and it was very tasty. I was already a little full, and again, the “portion pizzas” are too big for one person. Would recommend sharing one💪 Luckily we got a too-go box so we ended up taking half of each pizza back with us to the hotel and ate it for late snack later that day 😂 only negative I can think of is that the egg on the pizza was kind of… hard? I have been to Italy several times, tasting all types of pasta dishes. Bolognese being one of them.. although they were really good.. i have to take my hat off for this Resturant experience.

The bolognese is cooked to perfection, with deep flavours of sauteed onion, carots and cellery comming through boldly giving the dish great taste and mouthfeel without feeling like your average overseasoned bolognese you get at a resturant.

Also getting a little hint of stock, although i might be wrong on that one.

service was great, and staff were authentic. Very acommodating while also giving you a feeling that they really care about their food, as they come to check if everything is alright.

To be honest, cyprus is probably the last place i expected food like this… althought maybe a little prejudice. I have to say i have naver been this surprised.
