We went for brunch and ordered two pancakes (praline and biscoff) and two coffees. The staff was polite and the place is beautifully decorated. The coffees arrived, no problems thus far. Then 45 minutes passed and the pancakes still didn't come, so I asked a waiter to check on them. She comes after two minutes carrying them, and they looked like they were sitting in the kitchen ready for a while because the ice cream was all melted and they were falling apart. The biscoff pancake stack collapsed and the waiter picked up the fallen top pancake with her bare hand, and put it on top, which, of course, was disgusting. I was so shocked I couldn't figure out what to say. For the benefit of the doubt, we tasted them, and they would have been nice if they were brought to us when they were freshly made. Unfortunately, the taste was overshadowed by the fact that the waiter touched my food, so I couldn't even eat the whole thing (I could eat only the half that was untouched), and the fact that they were cold outside and only warm in the middle. The ice cream was so melted that it was inedible so I just scraped it off. A sauce comes with the biscoff pancakes, which, I assume it should be hot, but it was stone cold, as if it was in the fridge. Overall, the food is definitely not worth it, only the coffees were nice. None of the staff asked us if things were ok, I think they probably know that what they serve is sub-standard. In conclusion, do not go to eat there, maybe only for drinks or coffee (freddo capuccino is €4.3 each by the way). It's a shame because the place is beautiful, but I will definitely not be visiting again.
Update after the owner's comment: We were asked if we were finished, not if everything was ok, and we asked for the bill as we just wanted to leave. And of course we'd say thank you, that's just being polite. Indeed I should have mentioned something then, but to be honest I was shocked, and since we weren't asked if things were ok, then I don't feel there was a point to mention anything. To be honest instead of making excuses and trying to say your customers are lying, you should be focusing on teaching your staff basic hygiene rules and food quality. All the best...
Read moreThe place is impressive with nice colours and decoration. We visited on a Saturday night for a drink with live band music. The band consisted of 3 people and they were all professionals and nice. Music volume was good and we really enjoyed it. When we entered the venue they showed us our table that was supposed to be for 12 people but it could barely accommodate 4. We were 8 people in total. Then we requested chairs for all of us as there were only 4 chairs and after about 20 minutes we managed to get them except of one, so we had one person standing. Once we were somehow comfortable, we started searching for a waitress to order some drinks. It took us another 40 minutes to spot a waitress and we finally ordered drinks. The menu included 70-75cl bottles of spirits but we couldn’t agree on what to drink so we ordered cocktails separately. Three of us got gyn with pink grapefruit soda but none of us could taste or smell the pink grapefruit soda in their drink. It wasn’t a good quality cocktail and I wouldn’t describe the glass as appropriate either. The cheese and cold cuts platter was well presented and tasty, we really enjoyed that. Finally, we ordered the bill and we noticed that for the cocktails they charged the gyn and pink grapefruit soda separately that was awkward. They also charged EUR5 per person as “music fee” but i suppose by mistake they charged it for 3 extra people so we had to complain. I don’t know if the rest of us managed to make an agreement with the owner about the bill as i left the place the time of “negotiation”. In general, i may visit again for brunch or lunch but never again...

Last weekend I visited Sonhe with a group of friends to try the new dishes we heard about and we all agreed that will be going again this weekend
The stand out dish for us was the new Naan Hangover, it's a huge custom homemade Naan / bread, filled with 2 sunny side eggs, crispy bacon and a thick sausage. Accompanied with a side of baked beans and a homemade tomato chilli jam.
Second dish to try are the new Croissant French toast. They add 3 croissants to the dish and a whole lot of pistachios 🥰, so I can say you may want to get this to share with another main. Another sweettooth dish are the Biscoff pancakes with caramel sauce. Also a huge portion to share.
Finally if you're craving more of a lunch meal, you MUST try the classic American burger. 200gr of clean beef, mozzarella and a chimichurri sauce.
They also do the classic brunch items like eggs benedict, avocado toast and a whole lot more.
Best of all, the brunch is now available on @wolt.cyprus and @foodycy Guess I'll be ordering that Naan Hangover to the office 🤤
