Golden Sweets — Restaurant in Paphos Municipality

It is very tricky to find. The entire street is under major construction. And will be for many months. There is no visible sign. It is located right at a sharp corner.

Small place, no seating. But the main event is the sweets, baklava, and other Syrian/Lebanese desserts. They are all awesome. They are noticeably less sweet than others, but this is a good thing. The texture and taste are truly fantastic. Price is good as well, 13E for a full box of good stuff. For rare treats, this is a good deal.

To be honest, I’m usually not a fan of baklava and other Turkish/middle eastern sweets. Usually they are too soggy, too sweet and too rosewatery.

But this place does it just right. The baklava is so extremely balanced that I had to admit that I couldn’t criticize anything. For an unbeatable price even.

Lastly, the guy who runs this shop is extremely friendly - providing taste samples and chatting a bit.

If you go there for the kunafeh, go on Sunday. That’s the only day...

Amazing amazing amazing!!!! So many different baklava and all are amazing. We ended up getting most of them to try and non of them disappointed me. It’s legitimate and awesome. Service was also great, everyone is very friendly and helpful. We would definitely go back multiple times while our stay in Cyprus. Absolutely recommend this place to everyone if u are in love with legit baklava like us. It’s €20/kg and the big box we got was €11. Very reasonable and...
