We visited Tzogias Grill House twice on our holiday in Paphos, and if we had more time we would certainly have visited more!
On our first visit, we had the spicy Greek sausage and the salted cod both of which were delicious. On our second visit, we shared the Greek kebab and the pork chop, which were so delicious, as well as some of the spicy cheese dip.
On both occasions we were served by Yiannis (apologies if spelt incorrectly!) who is an absolute credit to this place. My fiancé complemented the dessert on our first visit (which is free, by the way!) and so we were immediately brought another which was such a kind and special gesture.
On our second visit, we were given some Ouzo to try, and provided with another extra dessert which was so lovely!
This location is affordable, delicious, and the staff are amazing. Free bread, a free bottle of water, and free desert are included in the price. A must visit if in Paphos. Food photos attached, but we couldn’t resist...
Read moreThe chef was very grumpy and commenting a lot with negative comments about various things, like that the customers have to hurry to order, ("άντε πάρε παραγγελία να τελειώνουμε" etc)
One guy waiter also not polite, he had an IRONIC TONE when we said we did not want to sit a specific table because it was under the light and did not feel very cozy in a completely empty restaurant, and that made us uncomfortable👎🏼👎🏼.
The melitzana was sour and we did not eat it at all, and after I told the waiter that it was bad he said "would you like us to bring you something else?" We believed to be a compensation as we did not touch the melitzana, took a tzatziki, but we ended up paying for both.
Other than the melitzana, the food was good, we loved the grilled veggies, kefalotyri and ravani desert was on them, but maybe they should rethink their customer...
Read moreI was a bit disappointed with this one. Reading the reviews, I expected very high quality food and my mind to be blown with the flavors but I was left a bit dissatisfied. Don't try the tomatokeftedes, they are a bit too floury and the sauce doesn't suit them. The meats we ordered were okay, the chicken kontosouvli was okay though having eaten pork kontosouvli before I expected a bigger piece and portion, but maybe that's the chicken kontosouvli. On a high note, the staff was very nice and quick to help, the music was old Greek classics from the 60s-70s which I adore and the atmosphere was quite good. Kudos for the complimentary dessert on the end of the meal. True Greek and Cypriot...
