Had dinner at one of our favourite spots last night ❤️ Located inside the Grecian Park Hotel is Umi Japanese Restaurant that we can’t wait to come back to ☺️
We had dynamite and ninja crunchy maki sushi for starters which were both so good but our personal favourite was the ninja crunchy maki 🍣🍱
Then, we had spicy tuna on crispy rice which was amazing! It was our first time trying it but we are definetely ordering it again 🤤
We also tried the Ika tempura which was calamari served on iceberg lettuce with abalone sauce - it was tasty but we both agreed we wouldn’t order it again.. it didn’t quite fit with the rest of our food but it’s definetely a good option to try 👍
Finally, our favourite dishes that we always order..
Umi duck - perfection! You absolutely have to try it.. the crispy duck and its sauce blend perfectly with the chef’s choice of vegetables served with rice.. just wow 🥰
Tori no Karaage salad that I love so much - spicy chicken served with a refreshing salad with orange and pomegranate.. all flavours compliment each other so well and completely satisfy our taste buds 🤤
Of course we enjoyed dinner with my favourite Kyperounta Petritis white wine 🍾
For dessert, we had the homemade four sorbet with four different flavours - Lemon, green apple, wood fruits and red orange. Our personal favourite was Lemon, we both agreed it was the best lemon sorbet we have ever had 🍋❤️
Our dinner was all the more enjoyable thanks to the amazing staff that was so attentive - special thanks to Michalis who arranged for us to sit at a beautiful table where we enjoyed the sunset view 🌅🌅
We can’t wait to come back again, this has definetely become one of our favourite spots...

Went to UMI a Wensday night at 22:00 during August, the restaurant was full but we managed to book a table for 2 (plus 1) the afternoon of the same day! The restaurant is located in the 4rth floor of Grecian Park Hotel, and has an amazing view, i would suggest therefore a booking during sunset.
We walk within the hotel and use the elevator to arrive at UMI, there the waiter escorted us to our table and make us feel comfortable.
After reading the menu's we order first our drinks, a gin and a glass of wine and then the food. We ordered a dynamite roll, a rainbow roll, maguro sashimi, spicy tuna on crispy rice and a wakame salad.
The drinks came along with a small cup of vegetable soup offered by the house, that was very tastefull. Our mains came after 5-10', they were all well presented with excellent quality ingredients and full of taste. All graded 5/5.
During our dinner inthe manager offered as the signature cocktail of the restaurant, the passion cocktail that was superb, if you like passion fruit you have to try it!
Thanks Michalis and remaining team for the lovely night, we will come...
Read moreMaybe it was a bad day. It happens to everybody. I remember the last I had dinner in Umi, a few years ago, I can still recall that sensational journey. Unfortunately, this time was very different. From the four dishes we ordered, one was tasting good, udon with beef. The rest, and especially two sushi dishes (Dynamite and one more) were surprisingly tasteless and flat. Nothing really in the taste, either of any fish or the sauces. At last, we ordered the umi duck. The dish was accompanied by a ready-made chilly sauce! We ordered a couple of "Passion" cocktails too. Again, nothing special there. Coming in small portions too. Furthermore, the design and the lighting failed to create nice atmosphere. Of course, if you visit the place during the day or during the sunset, colours are more vivid and you can enjoy the landscape too. Service was quite good, especially after we asked for Greek-speaking waiters.
In conclusion, Umi need to raise their level significantly if they want to really keep the rating at...
