We went with a large group and ordered from the menu in advance. We were greeted by friendly cheerful staff and shown to nicely set tables with comfortable seating under an awning in the pleasant afternoon sun. Drinks were brought quickly and Greek salad for those who wished to pay extra but also complementary olives and bread were served. Our dishes of octopus stifado, or roast lamb, or lambs ' liver, or chicken were cooked in delicious sauces and very nicely presented with hand cut chips or roast potatoes. There's an excellent choice of traditional Cypriot dishes cooked to order, also a very good choice of soft and alcoholic drinks. All of this is at very competitive reasonable prices. The parking space is across a busy road in a large public car park and this could prove difficult for people with mobility issues and wheelchair users. The restaurant is accessed on one level although the tables are rather close limiting access once seated. The toilet facilities were rather difficult to access and not as separate from the wash facilities as really necessary which again could be an issue for wheelchair users. These issues need to...
Read moreI was out cycling and still had 35km to go and needed a short break. Coffee and cake is enough as I don't like cycling after a lot of food. I had never been here before, so I went inside to see what they had. Very friendly staff explained they don't serve cakes, so I was about to walk away when he said they have some homemade chocolate cake. So I sat at a table waiting for my cake and cappuccino. There were a few people eating, and the food did look very good. My cake arrived very quickly and it was absolutely delicious. It was that good, I had eaten it before my coffee arrived. By the way, they do a really good cappuccino. The place has plenty of seating, inside and outside, some of the outside seating has shade to avoid the sun. It is a shame they don't serve more cakes as the homemade chocolates cake was so, so good and at a...
Read moreCyprus is a lovely place. We travelled around and read about a dog friedndly beach near Pissouri. We spent a lovely time there. But after a while we got hungry. So we checked Google and found a restaurant. The name Midway didn't make us feel that it could be a great restaurant with authentic local food. It sounded more like a an American Diner. But the reviews were good and we gave it a try. The staff were so nice - friendly, accomodating and caring. The food was amazing. And they offered us vegeterian options that weren't on the menu - the vegetarian moussaka was to die for. Everything you could ask for. It has become our go to spot when we are...
