Situated in old town centre we found this restaurant and pizzeria. Decided to eat here as it advertised homemade pizzas and we just fancied something light. Ordered a half carafe house white wine at €6 which came in a little tin jug. Chose dishes of chicken pitta at €7 and medimum sized prosciutto pizza at €11 along with a bowl of chips at €2. The pizza arrived and was topped with plenty of cheese but it appeared that the pig must be an endangered species as it could definitely have benefited from having more meat. It was alright, just about acceptable but nothing outstanding. A five minute wait then the chicken pitta to arrive with the chips. It wasn’t exactly busy that evening and it would have been better to have both meals at the same time. The chicken was a sliced fillet laid on top of a pitta bread rather than in it, but there was plenty of salad to accompany. The salad included fresh herbs and was actually quite good. The chicken had a slight barbeque taste and was pleasant. Both meals finished and we were given a complementary shot, which tasted like sangria and was very nice. Average dining experience and also put off by the amount of smokers in close proximity which we know isn’t their fault but it was only one of maybe a couple of places where we encountered such unpleasant selfish and...
Read moreVisited again and since first opening a year or so ago, I think things are better. We ordered pizzas, House Feta Cheese Salad for Two, Ravioli with Feta cheese and the house white wine. Like most house wines in Cyprus, it was awful, but we got some of their homemade lemonade and made it drinkable. The salad was very nice and tasty, but had only a few small pieces of feta cheese (disappointing). The Ravioli came with NO sauce, see photo. I had to persuade the waitress that it needed sauce and she said no, we don't do that. I showed her the menu and I pointed to the Pasta options, there were two Spaghetti options with sauces, so I insisted on sauce. It eventually came and once put on the Ravioli, it tasted excellent. I think the staff need to learn a bit more English, especially from what I saw this night, everyone was British. All in all, it was nice. Would I go back again....hmmm, I'm not sure. A shame as it...
