Odysseas & Eleni Hotel Apartments — Hotel in Polis Chrysochous

The place is a throwback to Fawlty Towers in every sense. Completely lacking in facilities, cleanliness, comfort and atmosphere.|The chap that greeted us is obviously immensely proud of his establishment, and couldn’t have been more welcoming and informative and sadly that’s when it becomes difficult to point out to him that for what we paid (which wasn’t ‘rock bottom’ prices), was totally inadequate. |The ‘garden’ and surrounding grounds are overgrown and unkempt, the pool had a disgusting stain around the rim, and was generally dirty, our room stank of smoke, there was zero water pressure in the bathroom shower, the actual bathroom itself was disgusting. Desperately needed ripping out and starting again instead of opting to keep patching it up. The apartment as a whole was equipped with everything you need for a self catering unit, it just badly needs updating. What has made my review totally blunt is the fact the bloke told us we were staying in their best apartment!|Breakfast, which was included in the price we paid was painful. After being bitten by ants whilst sat outside we promptly left. |Underneath one of the apartment blocks was abandoned, dust ridden cars. |The whole outside pool area is crawling with ants. The pictures on Tripadvisor and Booking.com when advertising the apartments are very deceiving. We stayed through Booking from June 10th to June 14th, 2024. We did not get the apartment we ordered. Some apartments were being renovated, and supposedly ours was among them. So this is a minus for me. Because in the original apartment, there were supposed to be 2 single beds and a stove. Instead, we got a double bed and a single hot plate. Another minus was that renovations were being done right next to our apartment. So there was banging, the smell of painting, and others. I felt almost like I was on a construction site. I believe that these apartment renovations will be completed soon, and people will really feel like they are on vacation here. A big plus is the location of the apartment. Its close to the bus station, the largest supermarket in the area, and the beaches, with a pedestrian promenade from Polis Beach Bar to Polis Municipal Beach. Another plus is the pool, cute cats, beautiful garden, and the helpfulness of the staff. What could be improved in the future: daily cleaning (including trash removal), changing towels, and having a washing machine in the apartments. But for me, this apartment still gets a 5/5, and I definitely recommend it...

Fantastic clean pool, we were often the only ones there! Clean, comfortable apartment with spring water on tap. Free air conditioning in the bedroom. Friendly, helpful owners. George was very hospitable and gave us lots of information. Lovely breakfast. Home made lemonade or orangeade, home made marmalade & jam, home marinaded olives.Good location, near lots of tavernas and shops. 20 minute walk to the beach. Two miles to Latsi where there are lots of boat trips, we had an all day trip on the Koulla boat. Only €1.50 each way by bus to Pathos. The bathroom in the apartment could do with upgrading but was functional with ample hot water and good water pressure. Excellent value for money. Would definitely...
