I visited for the first time today. The venue is well positioned (if you like traffic fumes), but if you don’t be sure to sit inside‼️I’ve tried Tshibo brand many times before and was thinking I must get the same standard, quality, strength of coffee etc. My meduim size Cappuccino was weak, it seemed like only one espresso shot and a lot of UHT milk. I would expect a venue of this brand could use fresh milk (it’s no more expensive unless they have a cheap deal on UHT). No coffee shop in UK would use UHT milk, the taste is different. On the plus side the venue was clean and comfortable with an upstairs part if you want to work. The employees could be a bit more engaging rather than having side conversations with one another. When I visit next I will be sure to ask about coffee strength and order extra shots if necessary.
Updated on 22/11/2024 - I’ve learned to now order a large Cappuccino, which I think has 3 espresso shots, and costs the equivalent of under £4, kind of on par with UK. The taste is excellent. They don’t do many savouries unfortunately as the cheese & sun-dried tomato lattice pastry is good, but the cakes look inviting. The staff are also more welcoming than at my first visit. As long as the little dog (who appears to be a permanent resident?) doesn’t yap, the atmosphere...
Read moreThe coffees are really good, but I definitely don't like the employees. they are preparing too late, they are in a turmoil. last time I went upstairs to use the toilet, there was no sound when I knocked on the door, but I continued to wait for a while. Then I turned the handle to open the door, it didn't open. I was going to go downstairs, thinking it was locked. A working girl came out and she shouted at me saying “ why are you trying to open the door, I'm doing my hair.” It is not normal for her to try to braid her hair for so long where everyone uses it. great place but they have very...
Read moreThe interior of the place is warm and welcoming. Furniture is good-looking and comfortable. Enough a place for people who came to try the drinks and work or study with their laptops. Unfortunately, this place has disgusted coffee. I'm not a fan of dark roasted beans, but 60% people like it. My friend ordered the Chai Tea Latte, and to take a sip, she waited 10m, and it was still hot after that time. Not recommended , if you don't like dark roasted beans and come to a commercial coffee shop. I had a single shot espresso, and it...
