FISH TAVERN MARKOS LEFKONOIKO — Restaurant in Zygi

First of all, it's necessary to say the location by the sea was beautiful. However, the food and the staff were kind of a different story. It feels like the owner of the tavern thought a nice location was enough to have satisfied customers. The seafood and the fish were deep fried and very oily not grilled and kind of tasteless. Some of potato chips were even not fried enough and the salad felt like it was not prepared from totally fresh vegetables. All in all, it felt more like a tourist trap and a mediterranean fastfood than a typical cypriot tavern. The staff was kind of unatentive and they did not even ask how satisfied we were with our meals. We have waited for a long time to be noticed in order to be able to pay. Huge...

Taverna belongs to mr.Makros and his 3 sons. Here you can order amazing grilled fish strait from the boat. Also other sea food - calamari, octopus, squid and sometimes even lobster, depends what they catch today. Most of clients is local people, who knows test of true sea food. This place has the worst service! The food was late and cold by the time it arrived to our table. We have been waiting for the pill for over 40 minutes and at the end we went to puy ourselfs even tho we asked for it more than 3 times. Also, the food was overpriced we asked 3 waitress for some lemons and water and noone pay...
