We recently had the pleasure of dining out as a group of seven at a charming restaurant in Cyprus. Our primary choice for the evening was the fish meze, a traditional Cypriot feast that promised a variety of dishes, ranging from fresh salads and an array of dips to an assortment of expertly prepared fish. The meze was an expansive spread, starting with a selection of vibrant salads, each bursting with fresh, local ingredients. Accompanying these were several types of dips, each one a perfect blend of flavors, textures, and aromas that tantalized our taste buds in anticipation of the main course. As for the fish, it was predominantly fried, yet prepared in such a way that it retained a delightful lightness. Each type of fish offered its unique taste and texture, making every bite a new experience. However, the highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the octopus. It was, without exaggeration, the most tender and flavor-packed octopus I've ever had in Cyprus, cooked to perfection with a balance of herbs and spices that enhanced its natural flavors. The squid, too, was a revelation, cooked to a perfect tenderness and bursting with a fresh, sea-inspired taste.Interestingly, we ordered the meze for fewer people than our group's size, yet there was more than enough to go around. In fact, we even had leftovers to take home, a testament to the generous portions provided by the restaurant. It's worth noting that on the day of our visit, the restaurant was bustling with activity, filled to capacity with other diners. This level of patronage did have a slight impact on the service speed. There was a noticeable delay in taking our order and serving the dishes, with some intervals between the arrival of different plates. However, this did not detract significantly from our experience. The atmosphere of the place, combined with the delectable food, made for a memorable evening. Despite the slower service, the quality of the dishes and the overall ambiance of the restaurant left us with a positive impression. It was an experience that encapsulated the essence of Cypriot hospitality and culinary excellence. We concluded our meal feeling satisfied and already contemplating our next visit to this delightful...
Read moreI'm very disappointed in the service and food me and my family got. We expected better from all the good reviews. Firstly, when we specifically told the waiter we wanted no onions in our salad, they brought it with onions and when we objected they just took the onions of and brought a salad that smelled and tasted like(my mother tasted it) onions, after our second objection we were finally brought the salad we wanted. Secondly, we were shocked when we were served grilled and burnt cuttlefish when they were specifically requested to be fried. We had gotten two portions and we tried to eat one but it was so bad that we sent the other portion back because we didnt want it. They brought back the same grilled cuttlefish thrown in the fryer, there was absolutely no galeta flour on them and when we objected, our waiter insisted that they were fried, we sent them back but we still had to pay for them. We also got fried shrimp that wasn't even peeled. The only good thing about this restaurant was...
Read moreIt was an awful place. We ordered salad without onion. They did bring it with onions. We told it again, they changed it. This time they took the onion pieces and gave us the same salad. The smell was awful. We ordered fried cuttlefish, they gave us grilled cuttlefish. When I told we don't want this they fried the same cuttlefishes and serviced it. I told that we don't want it (Because it was the same food.) and they took away that plate but at the end they charged it. They were so rude and unprofessional when I told them we didn't...
