Ausgezeichnet! This little bistro deserves a Michelin star, they create delicious food-art, but at humane prices. It's about a 90-minute drive from our home in Germany, but we make a special trip here a couple times a year. They speak excellent German and English, and have German and English menus.

Bei einem Gang durchs historische Zentrum läuft man direkt drauf zu, könnte es bei der diskreten, minimalistischen Aufmachung fast verfehlen, was ein großer Verlust wäre: Denn das Botanik Bistro stattet Eger/Cheb mit genau dem großstädtischen Restaurant aus, was man in einer Kreisstadt zu finden hofft. Ob man aus Karlsbad, auf der Durchreise oder als Abstecher aus Bayern/Sachsen herfährt, es ist die Fahrt wert. Eine Speisekarte, die einem die Auswahl schwer macht, weil alles so verheißungsvoll und interessant klingt, dass einem das Wasser im Mund zusammenläuft. Als Radfahrer kann man auf der Außenterrasse kurz Station machen, mit Freunden eine Flasche Wein trinken oder zu zweit essen - alles mit dem malerischen Blick auf die Altstadt. Dass ausgezeichnete Kochkunst in zwangloser Atmosphäre zu haben ist beweist das Botanik Bistro hervorragend.

Zpočátku jsme neměl k na jaře otevřenému podniku důvěru. Očekával jsem "módní" bistro s úzkým sortimentem určené k rychlému najezení. Botanik je ale "plnotučnou" restaurací. A navíc restaurací skvělou, kde si každý den pochutnáte na skvělém a cenově přijatelném meníčku, ale můžete tu prosedět při výběru z pestrého stálého menu celý večer, třeba i při rodinné oslavě! Ať jsem si tu dal v poledne grilovaná játra se škubánky a švestkovou omáčkou nebo večer hovězí chuck tender (jen se rozsýpalo) s kukuřičnou kaší, byl jsem nejen spokojen, ale rovnou nadšen! Dovolím si tvrdit, že v poměru cena/výkon jde momentálně o nejlepší gastropodnik v Chebu, a když tu ještě vylepší WC a v nabídce (jinak skvělých) dezertů vynechají švestkový koláč s mákem, který má moc těsta a je dost suchý, bude to podnik na špičkové úrovni, a to nejen v rámci regionu.

Zpočátku jsme neměl k na jaře otevřenému podniku důvěru. Očekával jsem "módní" bistro s úzkým sortimentem určené k rychlému najezení. Botanik je ale "plnotučnou" restaurací. A navíc restaurací skvělou, kde si každý den pochutnáte na skvělém a cenově přijatelném meníčku, ale můžete tu prosedět při výběru z pestrého stálého menu celý večer, třeba i při rodinné oslavě! Ať jsem si tu dal v poledne grilovaná játra se škubánky a švestkovou omáčkou nebo večer hovězí chuck tender (jen se rozsýpalo) s kukuřičnou kaší, byl jsem nejen spokojen, ale rovnou nadšen! Dovolím si tvrdit, že v poměru cena/výkon jde momentálně o nejlepší gastropodnik v Chebu, a když tu ještě vylepší WC a v nabídce (jinak skvělých) dezertů vynechají švestkový koláč s mákem, který má moc těsta a je dost suchý, bude to podnik na špičkové úrovni, a to nejen v rámci regionu.

Botanik is the only choice in the whole Cheb where to get really good food. The food is absolutely amazing and that is always. I’ve never been disappointed. The staff is very friendly, with good service. Good coffee with a choice of non-dairy milk. The only minus is not a family-friendly space ( meaning that no chair for a toddler and no toys etc. ) and the other is that you won’t find many vegetarian options or vegan not at all. Love the atmosphere and the great spot on the...

Amazing customer service - most professional and friendly in Cheb from what I've seen so far. I ordered red beet with almond crumble for an appetizer, duck breast as a main course,and matcha dessert. Food looks like art, tastes amazing and unique, and was served quite fast, which was a nice surprise after a long day. Menu is in English and a very kind waitress also speaks English well. My husband's lentils salad is too bland, and my duck ragout is too salty. The food was not as good as expected from a listed restaurant in Bib Gourmand. However the staff was very friendly and can explain their menu in multiple languages. They also didn't charge me for the duck ragout because I couldn't eat even 1/3 of the dish, so that'll be two stars extra. The atmosphere was also...
