UPDATE: Sadly, this restaurant went the way of pumping up prices to insanely high levels. Honestly when you look at what you're getting for your money compared to other restaurants, it is not worth it anymore!
I have been regularly ordering from this restaurant for years and therefore can definitely recommend it. For the money, you get a large amount of food. I am personally a fan of the Butter Chicken. What I like about it is that it has more chicken than other ones I've had so far. This isn't too overcooked, but tastes great. The sauce is also yummy and there's just enough of it for the amount of rice. I also feel that the sauce has this original Indian tone, unlike all the "fake" Indian food I've had so far. The best part is that it doesn't have veggies in it. Most Indian food has that and I have to admit I'm not a fan. What's fantastic about Tandoor are its lunch menus. I always order the Tikka Masala, which is basically like the Butter Chicken just a little less tasty. The rice is alright. There's a huge amount of it. Luckily, it's just the right size. Not too long and soft just as it should be. What's also fantastic is the fact that it doesn't have an aftertaste. The Naan is also worth a try. Most of it is soft with a nice crunchy crust. You also get a decent amount of Naan when you order it, which is always welcome. You also have the Phall. I don't personally order it, but I can tell you it is the hottest thing out there, literally. About the delivery, the containers are just fabulous. The food never spills. The delivery time is a bit longer at about 1 to 1,5 hours. They also added a website for orders,...
Read moreThis review is for vegetarian food and naans.
Service even on a weekday with only few people around these guys lacks basic service like serving the food. I complained about the butter naan was not having butter waiters coming up to my table and keep on touching the same naan and said they will check it. So -1 Star
Ambiance or location located very far from city Center you can get batter places than this one in city Center. -1 Star
Food served at least naans and gravy are not authentic indian. Samosa was soft and doughy it counts cauliflower potato filing and served with only curd. Naans has too much of baking powder or baking soda -1 Star.
People handling the service and preparation of plates are not skilled and may skip butter in butter naan but won’t forget to charge you for the same. So please hire someone who can check what food is going out to the customer.
So I won’t recommend visiting this place for Indians at least because this place is not for good indian food. You can eat here if you have not tasted authentic indian food.
Good alternatives for veg food are Everest and Indian aroma even you can visit Amritsar Mail if you are in the new...
Read moreI ordered from this restaurant with a lot of expectations and after a long review in google. Unfortunately they failed me in every single food i ordered.
Roti / Bread - Its so cold and felt like rubber. Hence its a 0.
Pulao Rice - Its cold and had no vegetables or any flavour in it. Its colorful which may seem nice but it had zero taste. Hence its a 0 again.
Butter Chicken - The only curry which could not go wrong in any Indian restaurant. Unfortunately the curry i ordered is so sweet and tasted like cream chicken. It had no flavour. It tasted like eating non-indian food.
Papad - Ive had indian food in more than 7 countries and this is the first time the restaurant have served expired / smelly papad. Its definitely a big 0.
As an Indian who can understand indian food, this is a very bad experience. Also, the cost initially was stated as 385 Kc. When it got delivered it was 495 Kc. They had stated in the bill it was boxing charges but the package was so bad the curry was leaking outside the cheap plastic cover they wrapped it with.
I have no idea how others were impressed with their food. Maybe i ordered on a...
