Valcha Restaurant Břevnov — Restaurant in Prague

Stopped by for lunch based on my Airbnb host's recommendation and the fact that they accept credit cards and are far enough away from the tourist areas..

The lunch menu was limited, , specially for local choices so, in my limited Czech, I ordered the pork with knedlíky and steamed spinach. Not really my favorite but I finished it and it was good. Fast turn around and good service. Pleasant interior with some oldies playlist. I had a tank beer as well. Not sure what the fuss is about tank beer tasted the same as draft beer everywhere else in Prague to me. We had quite a bad experience. We came in at 1pm on a Sunday and ordered food a bit later. It arrived by 2.20, that is about seventy minutes later. (we were party of four). Not only that: the waitress was quite rude and never once apologized. Even worse: all four dishes were not good. My salad was icy cold, the lettuce drenched in water and sand. The other dishes had cold meet and old dumplings (okorale). The schnitzel was full of nerves and hard to chew, and potato salad that came was store-bought. I visited Czech Republic 7 years ago and was recommended this restaurant by our hotel receptionist. And I have to say that chicken wings I've tried here were soo delicious they are on my mind till this day. Whenever people recommend chicken wings to me claiming it's the best thing ever, they never even come close to chicken wings here.
