Cafe Viggo — Restaurant in Aarhus Municipality

We had a nice experience at Café Viggo. For the starter we ordered Moules Mariniéres - Well-crafted dish with quality bread, little lacking some standout flavours. For the main dish I had the Steak au poivre- A well-done steak accompanied by a flavorful sauce and very nice complementary sides. Main dish of my partner- Baked Catfish- Nicely cooked fish with more subtle flavors. The cauliflower gave the dish very nice touch. Dessert 1: Crème Brûlée - Delightful dessert and generous portion Dessert 2: Raspberry mousse and sorbet - Light and refreshing.

Cafe Viggo is one of many restaurants along Aarhus Å and in many ways there are not many differences between them. Viggo is just a bit away from the most busy area and a bit more quiet if you're sitting outside. A few tables and chairs are shielded from the wind so you can eat outside in windy conditions. Quite good food, small portions, expensive. The places to sit weren't particularly comfortable possibly due to the arrangement of the seats when I was there. The portion size of the food is quite small, especially considering the price. Some of the foods are ordinary at best (sandwiches), but others are quite good, yet nothing extraordinary.
