Salling Aarhus — Restaurant in Aarhus Municipality

We visited Aarhus for the day while on a cruise, and Salling Rooftop Café was one of the best surprises of our stop! After hearing about it and seeing a few mentions online, we made our way over—and we’re so glad we did. This spot is an absolute must-see if you’re in the city, even just for a few hours. Located right in the heart of Aarhus above the Salling department store, this rooftop space offers breathtaking, panoramic views over the city. And the best part? It’s completely free to access! We especially loved being able to spot our cruise ship from up there—such a cool perspective that really made the experience special. The rooftop is more than just a viewing platform—it’s a thoughtfully designed social space. There’s a café where you can grab a coffee or snack and just relax while taking in the sights. It’s a great place to unwind and soak in the vibe of the city from above. The glass skywalk is definitely not for the faint-hearted, but if you’re brave enough to step out onto it, the view straight down is unforgettable. It adds a little thrill to the otherwise chill atmosphere and makes for some great photo ops. Salling Rooftop Café is clean, modern, and surprisingly peaceful despite being in the middle of the city. Whether you’re visiting Aarhus for a day or longer, this rooftop is a must for the views alone....

If you're looking for good (read adequate) customer service whilst shopping one of the regions largest retailers, look elsewhere. The grocery selection is the primary redeemer for this review as it carries a vast selection of quality exports & imports, cheeses, meat/fish, and wine with a decent international food selection. That said, customer service is not a priority for this particular store. Shopping within the home goods selection offered a diverse selection of offerings for purchase without clerks to aid in the actual purchasing of the items and a sign stating they would return shortly. 20+ minutes later, I went in search of a clerk on a different floor, I was scolded for doing so by one of the cashier attendants working in the children's department-asserting they would only aid me this one time with my purchase, and not expect to be provided with information about the product warranty as it was not their responsibility. Salling Group should consider customer service training for this department as a year later, I experienced similar scolding treatment within the children's department when purchasing a children's clothing item. Disappointing in-store shopping experience and now avoided...

One of my favorite places to visit when home for a visit from Australia. We absolutely love the shopping here, the food and services are fantastic. The fragrance department is always spectacular and perfect. The rooftop is absolutely stunning and superb. Love music and a great atmosphere. Dining in or just grab a drink or coffee and enjoy the spectacular view of beautiful Århus. You can view the whole city from high above and it’s a perfect place to meet up with friends and family. It is really not just a place to shop, it’s a feeling of being home, a place you can find all sorts of Devine things to make your home a home. You can always count of getting the most excellent service here and the best of the best. Their departments are endless and superior of choices. Highly recommend to visit this...
