Amazing restaurant for sure. Staffs are really welcoming and friendly. Even though I'm a adult man visiting by myself in this 'family - children' vibe restaurant, staffs were really polite and friendly to me. As you guys already know, you only get the mini figure when you order the children's menu. As I had no kid, only way to get that was by ordering children's menu (which is basically the same thing as adults menu just excluding one dish out of four plates.) Order is made by building lego bricks, so I did. Later when I pay, I said I'm willing to pay adult price cuz I wasnt sure about pricing policy. However, I guess there's some people like me occasionally. Staff said it's totally fine. The food is nice though. However, as some may say, its bit pricey. I think it may got also to do with local business co-living idea (it's my assumption). There are few restaurants just out side of the Lego house and they are relatively cheap. Therefore, if lego house adds cheap restaurants, visitors will never even bother to visit the local restaurant. By lego house only keeping little high price but premium restaurants, I think they are somehow contributing to the local society. I don't know what's going on there but it was nice to see how other visitors were enjoying the both restaurants and the city of Billund. Great place, nice environment,...
Read moreWell the Restaurant is fun for the kids. We had to weit for a Table almost an hour. For the good 30 Minutes! Well if you come to think for frech fries and a view vegetables and Meatballs, nothing needs that mich time. For Smalltalk kids it is simple a no go to wait that long for food.
On our second das we wanted to be smarter and came 30 Minutes before we wanted to eat but the waitress refused to make this possible. She said there is no waiting time. So we came 30 Minutes later and had to wait 45 Minutes again!
It is not like it would be high cooking art that for System Gastronomy there have to be waiting times like that. With a two year old little boy that is a cathastrophy. It makes a happy day very diffikult. Also you are loosing so mich time which would be spent in the house.
The prices are high and the Restaurant is fun especially the ordering process, which has to be done with bricks. Also the stuff was nice. And we likes the food much. Fun is also the Bricks for the kids to build while waiting for the Order. A little cheaper and the waiting Times handled better...
Read moreThis place was a delight, from start to finish! We were greeted warmly and taken care of right from the get go, and talked through the ordering process. This is necessary, because of the very unique way you order your food here - I won't spoil the surprise for anyone, you have to try it for yourself - it's brilliant, and great fun!
I was prepared for the food to be a mere sideshow, but actually it was really delicious, and probably the best meal we had in Billund for the entire trip!
I expected the bill to be eyewatering, but no, it was very reasonable. Compared to all the other inferior restaurants we'd eaten in up to that point, where we'd left feeling ripped off, this place was a breath of fresh air. We had a really tasty, nutritious meal, got great service, and it didn't cost an arm and a leg :D
Even if you don't have kids in tow, and even if you think the Lego elements are a gimmick (they aren't though, they're awesome ;), you'll still get a good meal, so...
