This restaurant sells itself on decor and aesthetics. The service and food was mediocre, the waiter didn’t bring the bread when she seemed to remember for all other tables. The sauce for my steak came with a fly.

The food was expensive but didn’t taste it. We had the salmon, the steak, the spareribs and the kids bolognese. The bolognese was the best. I ordered my steak medium, it came nearly well-done, and it was just about warm. The spareribs tasted like rubber, and barely warm. The salmon was nothing special. The spinach and veg on the side were better than the fish.

When we booked, the head waiter was there and it felt organised. He wasn’t there on the day, and the service was different.

Very nice restaurant, beautiful menus, beautiful plates — it aims for refined cuisine, but it doesn’t even know the basics! “Meunier-fried fish” isn’t meunière at all, it’s more like breaded fish! I ordered a beef tenderloin steak — (probably) a very nice cut of red meat — but they didn’t ask how I wanted it cooked, they didn’t even bring a steak knife, and I was served a piece of meat so overcooked it had turned bitter! A perfect example of how to ruin good meat… They also forgot the fries and the sauce… We ordered a Pinot Gris, but I’ve never tasted one so sweet — it was almost like a dessert wine. When you offer that kind of wine as an aperitif, you should at least mention that it’s a rather sweet and characterful wine! Saw this restaurant with a 4.7 rating on googlemap, gotta give it a try and did not disappoint :) The restaurant is very nice, inside a local hotel. Simple yet elegant setting, we were a bit scared that our party (4 kids) will be too loud / affect other customers. They were very thoughtful with providing coloring sheets to keep the kids busy. The kids dishes came first, and the portions are big! Thats the fish and chips and the spaghetti bolognese, can fill an adult actually. Then the adults dishes came and the steak was absolutely amazing! The best surprise comes last, we had creme brulee as dessert, kids had the ice cream, and actually the last dessert we got (don’t know the name) was ice cream covered with chocolate in a cone shape - must must must have!!!!!! Want to go back there...
