Mønten 2200 — Restaurant in Copenhagen Municipality

DO NOT EAT HERE. We came here for our last morning in Copenhagen given its high star ranking. At the start we were met with the owner talking to someone through headphone and then we were over charged by 100kr thinking that was the worst of it.We ordered the large breakfast platter, nachos, and sweet potato fries. All meals were small and cold, the large meal in particular came with one small under cooked fried egg with roughly chopped chives, three tiny pieces of cold chorizo, cold hard bread, and hard avo. The nachos had slightly cooked cheese on shop bought chips with blended tomato. The only redeeming quality was the sweet potato chips, however we found plastic in the sauce. When asking for compensation because we couldn’t finish the meals due to their under poor quality, he got angry at us and refused. We approached him politely and were met with aggression. He ignored us very childishly. We even asked for just 100kr back rather than the full 400kr and he refused. I never leave reviews but I am absolutely appalled by this. Surely it the 5 star rankings in the review...

Overall: Good quality food with good ingredients

(Take the next part as more of a room for improvement. Still better than most cafes I’ve been to)

The bun for the fried chicken sandwich felt fresh baked but had no hard crust. The bread flavor was meek, floury and lacked chew.

The fried chicken was chopped into slices and placed into the bun. Not super crunchy. Notes for improvement: Consider a big ol piece in the middle with improved fried crust.

The saucing was good and cherry tomatoes and leaves fresh. I like hummus in stuff (tricks me into thinking I’m covering a few of my nutrient bases). This country can’t do guacamole however so don’t order it for that.

Coffee was a good size.

Wow, one of the most cozy cafés I’ve ever been inside. The owner is soo friendly along with the people that work there. I meet with friends and business acquaintances for coffee, cake etc. There are soo many different places to sit.
