This restaurant was one of the most weird ones I've ever tried in my entire life. First of all, it should be an Italian one (named 'pomodoro d'oro) and having Italian food, but once you get there you are welcomed with a cheap and kitschy design which mixes the Asian one (e.g. the colours), the American one (e.g. the music) and the French one (e.g. the bathroom). We said 'ok, the first red flag, but let's try it since it's rated as the first out of ~2000 restaurants in Copenhagen'.
Then the cleanliness, the waiters wiped the tables and the seats with the same towel, not recommend I would say, but again 'ok, let's give it a try'.
Then the prices, it's around 30 euros for a medium sized pizza, I would say it has to taste heavenly for this price, so again 'ok, let's give it a try'.
Then the main waitress, having a big fake smile and being nice in a so weird way, but this should not be a 'showstopper'.
Then the pizzas, how to say it in a nice way, let's say that I've tried fast food pizza at 3 euro better than this one, it's just bad, and combined with the prices, it's the worst. They have one with 'Ragu' (which is pork here, not beef) tasting as a pork soup and not as an Italian pizza. The only thing that seemed ok is the fact that the restaurant is an open space so you see the kitchen, but you also see that they're using the same gloves when cleaning, cooking, even touching you on the shoulders in a so called 'friendly way' so surely we did not see this place as safe or clean. Ok, it might not be the dirtiest place for eating, but considering the price tag and also the danish standards, this restaurant is simply a big 'no no'.
I don't see any reason for recommending this place to anyone, unless you want to see it with your own eyes. I simply don't understand how this is the first one, even the breakfast in the hotel was way better.
Just to conclude, it's overpriced, undertaste, cheap & kitschy design and so weird and uncomfortable interaction...
Read moreI am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the service provided by your establishment on the second of May at the time of 16:30. Despite having made a reservation and receiving confirmation, upon arrival at the specified time, we were informed that the restaurant would not open until 17:00, a fact that was not communicated to us during our phone conversation.
Furthermore, upon returning at 17:00, we were once again met with locked doors and were informed that the opening time had been delayed until 18:00. This inconsistency and lack of communication regarding opening hours are highly unprofessional and unacceptable.
Despite our patience and understanding, when we returned at 18:00, we were denied entry on the grounds that the sole employee on duty claimed she could not accommodate us, despite the presence of another individual behind the counter. This refusal to serve us, especially when there were others already being attended to, demonstrates a blatant disregard for customer service and reflects poorly on your establishment.
Additionally, the lack of transparency regarding opening hours and the refusal to serve us despite our willingness to wait further highlights the poor management and organizational skills exhibited by your staff.
We offered to wait patiently until our orders could be attended to, but our willingness was met with indifference and apathy. This level of service is completely unacceptable and has left a deeply negative impression on us.
In conclusion, I urge you to address these issues promptly and implement measures to ensure that such incidents do not occur in the future. Customers should not be subjected to such disregard and neglect, especially after making the effort to patronize your...
Read moreI usually never write reviews (I must admit, that sometimes I say I will and end up getting distracted or forgetting), but this time, I felt compelled to share my experience, because this restaurant deserves it like no other.
For starters, the owner, Marta, will make you feel like royalty from the moment you set foot in the door, to the moment you leave. She is so attentive, genuine, caring and sweet that it might make you melt. I have been to many restaurants, and I have honestly never come across a host, who is so emotionally and actively invested in creating the most beautiful experience for their guests. She treats every person at the table, not only with the highest respect, but with genuine attention to make you feel special.
The pizzas are absolutely delicious, with freshly sourced ingredients (from the most superior supermarket in Denmark) and with organic meat. The dough of the pizza was perfect; fluffy with a delicate crunch. The flavours are amazing, and with the most unique combinations of toppings I have come across, definitely like no other pizza joint you have ever been to.
The design of the restaurant was so carefully thought out, tall plants and flowers blossoming around you, spacious room but with a cozy vibe. Huge windows looking out to the beautiful Amager Strand, only a few minutes away from having your feet in the ocean. Gorgeous wallpaper around the restaurant and in the bathroom... oh the bathroom. That is an experience in itself. Unique furniture, wallpaper, soap and lotion, that once again, make it feel a bit like a royal experience.
My warmest recommendation to this delicious and wonderful restaurant, and a salute to Marta, the kindest and most invested owner I...
