Ordered a one-person lunch at 14:00 for take-away and was told it would take half an hour to make. I showed up at about 14:35 and the order was still not ready and the only guy in the whole restaurant did not speak Danish or English, but just kept saying "10 minutes". After a whole bunch of back and forth between two workers on the phone and the guy in the restaurant, the order was ready at 14:55 but he kept asking for cash although I had said more than once I only had card, and on top of that it took about five more minutes for him to type in the order in the machine, so during all this I said that I did not want to pay full price for the meal as it was half an hour late after they had already had half an hour before to make it even though they had absolutely no customers. He refused but as I was about to leave without the food all he offered was an extra rice, to which I said no. I left the restaurant and had biked some distance away when I received a phone call from one of the phone-workers, who offered to give me 20% discount if I returned to the restaurant, but at this point I had waited for a little over an hour for the food and was already some way from the restaurant, so I said that I honestly didn't feel like 20% was enough. They didn't want to give more discount and I didn't need the free appetizer they said they could give instead, so I said no thanks. I was extremely frustrated at this point and really felt robbed of my time. Everyone I talked to either spoke no english or very poor english, so even the communication was just draining. There are a lot of Indian restaurants in Copenhagen, so I would highly recommend taking you're money to one of them...
Read moreGLUTEN FREE NAAN!! & Amazing food!!! After searching for a nice indian place, close to Valby st, that would do take away food as well I found these guys, at 10 min walking from the station. I went there without high expectations because even though I love Indian food, I realized over time that it is not that easy to find very good Indian food in Copenhagen. But to be honest, these guys really made my day for the following reasons: Though am not celiac, I feel sick from a higher amount of gluten. But I was able to order gluten free naan bread from them and it was amazing and I do not feel sick (so they did a pretty good job). Thank you guys!!! The variety of Naan breads is high (higher than many Indian places in Cph) The prices are not that big in comparison to other place where you do not get such a big and vast menu They could literally make everything on the menu gluten free They had 4 fish curry dishes and a few more pakoras The food was nicely packed and I got home with it safe and nice in it's own packaging. Not to mention it was still warm (it took me around 1h and 30 min to get home) The samosas were big (I got two) and very delicious. Totally recommend it :D
Conclusion: if you do want very good quality Indian food and very nice and polite service (especially if you are sensitive and have a few allergies) these are the guys! Totally worth it and I can guarantee that they are way better than many Indian places in...
Read moreFood is tasty we love the place. And not first time there. But that time we were waiting 1.5 hours for them to serve the first dish. We ordered vegetarian dish but they served chicken which is kind of disrespect for Indian Brahmin people. Then we were waiting for the main course dish another hour. Initially we were just sitting and watching how they served another people next table who came later than us. So the problem was our waiter who mixed up the order. So my Indian man and I were sitting on the waiting mode. Yes, that day's service was not good. Then another waitress came she told food is ready but not served on time. So, we had main couse not hot and it is bad because as Indian food should be served hot. Also I didn't like that she didn't wipe the table for the moment she served...
