Chicago Burger — Restaurant in Odense Kommune

We arrived and order two veggie burger. They told us that we could get the vegan version of every burger. I ordered a Highway 55 and asked more to be sure to remove everything that would make it non vegan. Asking for every single non obvious ingredients. Same for my partner who took a vegan New Mexico. The latter was correct. Unfortunately the Highway had a little problem, it had bacon. I saw it and remember not seeing any vegan bacon. I tried to bite it, and that was clearly meat. They removed the cheddar, mind you. But left the bacon. They don't have vegan bacon and I can assure you that was meat. Then I tried to bite the patty. While my partner's burger was clearly plant based, mine tasted exactly like meat. I cannot be sure that they didn't put the vegan patty (even though if they left the bacon it's fair to assume they used the meat based one for the patty too) but either way the bacon, potentially the patty and the sauce made the more expensive burger completely...

We took two burgers and we talked with the server about making them both vegan. He said yes saying that any of the burgers can be made veggie. Since the menus are in danish, we asked for an advice on which burger to take. Soon we realized that even when we initially asked for a vegan burger that the service didn't know what that means because they offered a "vegan" burger with mayo and cheese that weren't vegan. After a while, we settled to take two burgers from which they will remove any animal product. We came home with our order and realized that one of the burgers was vegan and the other one had real meat, beacon, and potentially a milk-based sauce. Great burgers and amazing fries! The service was smiling and helpful with a short wait time for tables as well.

Food was well prepared, tasty and at affordable prices. Multitude of dips, and all we tried were tasty just like the various burgers and types of fries.

Atmosphere was very 50's diner with a quiet background humm from the kitchen and other guests in their booths.

Waiting for our orders (5 people on a Friday evening) took around 45 minutes which is a little more than...
